\[Balance] Reverted the changes to resource bonuses for Hard/Lunatic Adventure Difficulty from ver1.009 and increased Normal's bonuses to 10%/20%/40%.
Thanks for all your feedback regarding the adjustments I made in ver1.009.
First off, I'd like to explain why I made the changes I did to drop rates on Lunatic.
One of the goals of these changes was that I wanted to rectify how some players on Normal felt like they were "missing out" by not playing on Lunatic.
Some players also heard that Lunatic was easier than Normal thanks to its extra bonuses,
leading to them choosing Lunatic not for the challenge, but to lower the difficulty instead, resulting in them leaving negative reviews...
As the game's developer, I'm incredibly troubled that things turned out this way.
I'd often seen players express that EXP, gold, and item drop rates were far too high on Lunatic,
so in the previous update, I thought that if I were to give players a little more on Normal and a little less on Lunatic,
that might be enough to resolve everything, so I went through with those changes.
However, I also feel that the pushback I've received from the veteran players who are enjoying Lunatic is absolutely justified.
As a result of this feedback, in ver1.010, I've reverted the decreases I made to Hard and Lunatic's bonuses,
and I've further raised Normal's bonuses to 10%/20%/40% to match that of Hard's.
However, I feel that Lunatic's EXP and gold might not be all that excessive right now...? I'd really appreciate some feedback on that.
Next, I've received a lot of feedback regarding the dungeon layout changes as well.
To be honest, I personally enjoy complicated dungeons that give you a bit of trouble, so I included those aspects in Tri's dungeons.
If I were to go off my personal tastes and nothing else, I'd like if I could change dungeon layouts to be closer to how they were prior to ver1.009.
However, I've received many reviews from players with negative opinions toward Tri's dungeons,
expressing things such as "these are just stressful," "these dungeons are awful," and "the developer thinks they're making a puzzle game."
I was afraid that if the dungeon layouts were to hurt the game's review score,
it might lead to less people reaching the parts of the game I really tried to express myself with and wanted people to play, those being the boss fights.
That possibility scared me, and I felt like I had to deal with this criticism.
I think the suggestion of adding difficulty options for dungeon layouts is a great one!
But unfortunately, as a solo developer, that's difficult for me to implement from both time and financial standpoints.
Also, due to the high number of reviews criticizing the dungeons for being too complex,
I'd completely failed to realize just how many players liked the dungeons I enjoyed creating so much until just now.
If you wouldn't mind, I'd really appreciate some feedback on which specific parts you thought were interesting and fun.
When it comes to deciding which changes to make, I feel like reviews have to be my biggest references.
If I could learn through players' reviews which parts of the game people approved of and by how much,
how many people dislike those parts, and how many people DO like those parts,
that those opinions would not only be of great help in deciding how to shape the game moving forward,
but they would also the best encouragement a developer could ever ask for.
