Hello everyone! Update 3.1 is out now, here's what is new:
What's New:
Completely new save system: The entire save system has been rewritten from scratch to be more modern! Save files are no longer encrypted, so you can edit them to your heart's content! Your save data will automatically transfer without issue... if something weird happens, please shoot me a message under this thread!
New Settings UI and backend!: Settings should behave better and there are a few more options!
Loading Screens! Loading into each map + extras will give you a new loading screen, hopefully more visually appealing than a black screen!
Unlisted endings: Endings which are not part of the main roster for each map will now be listed if you complete them! These endings could be considered secret, but mostly they are just there for QOL. You won't get an achievement or coins for these endings, but they do give you bragging rights! This means Frostfall and the House now technically have 15 endings ;)
Linux Support: Finally! I'm new to linux and don't yet have a linux machine of my own, so please be patient (and as communicative as possible) with any issues you may run into, thanks a ton!
Feedback Hub: On the pause menu / title screen, pressing the little bug icon will open up the feedback hub! Here you can directly report bugs, give suggestions, and more!
Vulkan Support: On windows, the game may utilize vulkan for some faster rendering!
Performance Improvements
Massive under the hood improvements (game should run better)
Polish and fixes everywhere:
Fixed an issue with the play button being hard to click
Added the ability to toggle between subtitle backgrounds
Fixed various depth of field issues with the library
Fixed some scaling issues with the leaderboard
Fixed the locker window height in the school
Removed Depth of Field from the first two finales
Hovering over doors with the crosshair works as expected
Fixed extras having the wrong crosshair
Performance improvements in extras
Deranged Amber is now quieter in the extras
And so much more I forgot to write down
