There are reports of game crash/system shutdown right after the KLL logo is shown.
This seems to be happening because of the shader compilation process.
If you are experiencing this symptom, please try switching to the version that skips this step.

-How to switch versions.
Right click on 'Letters of Bernard Thorne' from the Steam library and click 'Properties'
Click 'Beta' and then 'none'
Select 'noshadercompile' from the drop down menu
The new version will install automatically
