Patch 19: Classic Version Set as Default, New Content and Bugfixes — Sons of Valhalla News

Hello Vikings, it’s Patch Day once again!

Due to continued negative feedback regarding the Experimental Version, we’ve decided to take a step back and temporarily set the Classic Version as the default version again.

This gives us the necessary time to carefully reconsider some core decisions for the Experimental Version and work on targeted improvements.

The Experimental Version is still available and can be accessed at any time via the Main Menu.

So if you’re wondering why you’re suddenly playing the Classic Version again, even though you intended to play the Experimental Version: Simply go to “To Experimental Version” in the Main Menu to switch back.

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

The following changes 2.0.23 affect the Experimental Version: New Content

Buildings and defensive structures now need wood
Added woodcutter hut building and wood resource
Added new maps featuring two enemy cities that can be destroyed and captured

Bug Fixes

Pathfinder Totem teleport effect no longer plays when no units are ordered
Fixed collider issues in some levels
