Hey everyone!
We’ve been working hard these past weeks to bring you a winter update just in time for the holidays.
This patch actually grew way bigger than we first expected… once we started adding snow and lights, we just couldn’t stop. We hope you’ll enjoy this update as much as we enjoyed making it!
Seasonal Winter Event
Winter has arrived in We Escaped a Twisted Game, and with it comes a festive atmosphere wrapped inside just a little bit of horror.
Here’s what’s new:
Snowfall effects across the world
Winter-themed scenery
Christmas decorations
New seasonal audio in Puzzle 1
Festive hats
This winter event will stay active until January 6th and will return every year.
Voice Chat Open Mic
You’ve been asking for Open Mic support, and we’ve been listening.
You can now switch between:
Push to Talk, or
Open Mic, using the walkie-talkie key to toggle communication
If you experience lost voice data, try adjusting your microphone settings in Steam.
Achievement Fix “Perfection” Not Triggering
Some players reported that Perfection didn’t unlock even after completing everything correctly.
This is now fixed.

The achievement should unlock automatically when you reach the main menu

FPS Cap
We’ve added proper options:
30 / 60 / 90 / 144 / Unlimited
Speedrun Timer
For the speedrunners out there, you can now enable a timer to track your run.
Seasonal Event Toggle
Prefer to play without winter content? You can disable seasonal events in the menu. (But seriously, try it at least once!)
