Sup Grabbas. Rn we're in the process of basically remaking the entire game in its original vision with the random generation and everything, but without a lot of the shit assness that the current "The Grind" has. Polishing old mechanics is one of the ways we've found we can reduce the shit assness meter, so this is just a lil QOL patch which includes some of that shit assness reduction. What's New?
New PhysGrab behaviors
Players can now press and hold the phys grab button to more easily catch fast moving objects / objects popping out of their inventories, etc.
The phys grab hand UI now tracks slightly with the held objects position, scales with how close the player is holding it, and shakes to convey how close the player is to losing their grip, overall just gives the player more info and conveys more "game feel".
Slide Jump / Uncrouch Polish
The player movement script has been reworked to prevent players from occasionally clipping into / through the ground while crouch jumping / uncrouching. This was especially problematic for players with lower FPS due to the way uncrouching logic was previously handled.
The consistency in jump height and strength with the crouch jumping has been greatly improved, fuck ass physics edge cases that weren't previously accounted have now been resolved.
CUSTOMIZATION SAVING (this ones pretty big)
With advancements in goldfish memory bank technology, CashGrab: Refunded now stores your customization options, INCLUDING UPLOADED FACES. No more dilly dallying with your file explorer every time you wanna play this shit ass game!
Rework of the Face Upload System
The way that Face Uploading is handled has yet again been completely overhauled. Now instead of sending every single player in the lobby your uploaded file every time your character spawns in / respawns, the goldfish memory banks receive the uploaded photo's info ONE TIME and remembers which player has which photo. This will significantly cut back on network traffic, prevent timeouts / disconnects, and save me money on server costs.
ATM Changes / Fixes
The ATM now has an exponential scaling feature when withdrawing / depositing cash so you're not sitting there for twenty minutes trying to pull out your hard earned billions.
I also lowk fixed an issue where the ATM would short you and just not give you your money I guess.
Also Added the Spring Boots
Apparently they were not in the game oops, now they're somewhere in the lobby...
