Hey alchemists! We’ve released another small but important hotfix on December 6. This patch focuses on fixing a few progression-breaking issues with the House, Pathkeys and region rewards.
House: double-occupancy bug
Some of you discovered an issue with the House: placing one hireling in the rest slot and another in the wardrobe slot could leave it in a broken state. It’s fixed now.
House logic updated: the House has been reworked so that it no longer allows this setup and should behave correctly going forward.
How to fix already broken Houses: if your House is already broken in an existing save, hover over the House card and hold the ] key on your keyboard. This performs a safe reset of that card’s UI without deleting it, and should restore it to working order.
Pathkeys & final region access
There was also an issue with Pathkeys where an incorrect level parameter could block access to the final region. This issue has now also been resolved.
New Pathkeys use correct level: newly obtained Pathkeys should now have the correct level and allow you to unlock the last region as intended.
How to fix existing Pathkeys: if you already have a Pathkey with the wrong parameter in your save, hover over that Pathkey card and hold the \[ key. This will remove the broken card and create a fresh working replacement with the correct parameter.
Region rewards fail-safe
You also reported another issue: during region runs, unique rewards — including the Pathkey for the final region — were not always granted as intended. We’ve added a fail-safe system that prevents this from happening.
Region rewards are now guaranteed: after the 4th completion of any location in a region, the game will automatically check whether you’ve received unique rewards for that region. If something is missing, the system will now grant the missing items to your collection.
