Major Update Based on Your Feedback

Hi everyone, It's now been more than a week since the official release of Pieces of the Past and we firstly want to thank you all for your support! We've been monitoring the Steam Discussions forum, our Discord server, and the Steam reviews for your feedback and things we can improve upon. We've pushed out several updates with fixes since the release and have been working on a major update to address the most common feedbacks.

With this update, we're aiming to improve the gameplay and the levels based on your feedback. The most common feedbacks we received is about the difficulty (or rather, the lack thereof) and levels feeling uninhabited.

We've reworked more than half of the items in the game, increased the difficulty and now allow the player to make more mistakes during repairs.

Levels are now also improved and should feel more alive with more objects, interaction and SFX.

> More than half of the interactable items have been improved to make the puzzles more challenging and fun. Changed items below:

• Antique Shop

  • Call Bell: Quality of life changes and SFX.

  • Sailboat: New interactable pieces added.

  • Metronome: Quality of life changes and SFX. Visuals improved.

• Aunt's Room

  • Wooden Bird: Now also needs to be cleaned with the brush as well.

  • Virtual Pet: Quality of life changes.

  • Toy Bus: New interactable pieces and SFX added.

• Uncle's Room

  • Vending Machine: Completely overhauled with more interactions and pieces.

  • Video Game Cartridge: Number of cartridges and cleanable surfaces increased. Visuals improved.

  • Rubik's Cube: New interactable pieces added.

• Grandparents' Room

  • Snow Globe: Visual bugs fixed.

  • Plants: New tool to kill bugs added.

  • Pressed Flower Book: Completely overhauled with more interactions and pieces.

• Mother's Room

  • Torn Book: Visual bugs fixed.

  • Music Box: Grinder and brush are now also needed to repair.

  • Reading Lamp: New interactable pieces added.

  • Brooch: New interactable pieces added.

• Lily's Room

  • Ukulele: New interactable pieces added.

  • Photo Album: Completely overhauled with more interactions and pieces.

> Levels are now also improved with more objects, interaction and SFX. Lighting in the rooms has been improved for better visuals.

> Some completed items are now interactable after repair.

> SFX were added to interactable items.
