Patch 1.10.0 Public Playtest Info
When: December 1st - 19th
Playtest Focus Points
This playtest’s primary focus is the Character Customisation updates.
We need help stress-testing the system as much as possible: testing different combinations, patterns, accessories, and catching any issues or edge cases that we missed!
Plus, you'll get early access to the new customisation content before anyone else, AND have the chance to share your feedback before the patch officially goes live!
How do I join the playtest?
Once the patch is live, the Beta branch can be accessed in Steam. You can access the Beta by following these steps:
Right Click Amber Isle in your library
Select Properties
In the new pop-up window, select ‘Betas’
Select ‘public_test_experimental’ from the dropdown menu.
(Note: Branch will not be publicly accessible until the launch on Dec 1st at 3pm GMT)
We advise starting a new game for this playtest, since you start the game immediately in the character creator.
If you're playing an existing save file, the customisation menu can be accessed by interacting with the mirror inside your bedroom.
Note: If you start a new game, be aware that after confirming your character customisation, the customisation menu cannot be accessed again until you complete the tutorial quest "Impress the Mayor".
We’ll post a detailed changelog once the playtest goes live, so its clear what to focus on when testing.
❗Warning! Always back-up your save files!!! ❗
If you’re opting into this playtest and care about your previous saves, please be sure to back-up your save files first! Especially if you plan on loading an existing save rather than starting a new playthrough. If your saves become corrupt and you have no save file back-ups, they may be gone for good! 🦕💔

Once the playtest is live, a new category will be created specifically for this playtest event, with channels dedicated to feedback & bug reports, general discussions, and dev updates.
