SEASON 26

Game Mode Updates

Intermissions

• Reduced/unified the CA/SAC round intermission times to 5 seconds

• Reduced/unified the Arena Kings and Tourney modes round intermissions from 7 to 4 seconds

Arena King

• Arena King's Ranger now moves at 320 ups and 1.0 accel

Map Updates

• Arena King maps

  • Skip picmip on all Arena King grid textures (preserving their full texture quality when picmip is enabled)

• Burial Chamber

  • Added new basalt columns to limit visibility and railgun line-of-sights from the lava base

  • Adjusted lava base item layout, moved LA to lower perimeter (towards HMG) and moved health closer towards the entrances

  • Fixed collision issue reported on a wall of the castle base

  • We now allow dire orb through the second-floor windows of the castle base

  • We now allow a rocket jump through the castle base broken window, removed some bars to make the RJ more accessible

  • Fixed a collision issue with the lower step of the staircase leading from lava base to SG

  • Fixed a collision issue with the top step of the staircase leading from the bottom of the large central ramp towards SG / lava base entrances

  • Smoothed floor collision on both the upper and lower perimeter areas outside of the lava base (near SG, SNG, MH, LG)

• Cursed Soul

  • Added gamemode collision blockers to prevent players from standing above the three pergola's in SAC or CTF

• Lockbox

  • Moved LG to old TB position, moved TB to old high LA position of cave base, moved high LA position of cave base to the lower perimeter room at acid fall pool room, and adjusted the cave base cooldown positions

  • Moved power-up spawn in TDM/DM to the blind oculus base (the outside base below the Ithagnal statue) where previously HA or LG has spawned

  • Removed the jumppad in the cave base that leads from lower ramp to HMG, added a new route in & out of the base from the lower ramp position that now connects to the old tribolt perimeter

  • Fixed the border of all caustic reflections

• Vestibule of Exile

  • Fixed a reported collision exploit

• Warehouse

  • Added CTF support

  • Updated bot navigation

  • Added visblocker performance improvements to warehouse cover

Miscellaneous

• Resampled ~50 legacy sound assets from 11k & 22k to 44.1k to prevent performance hits caused by resampling on the fly.

• Fixed missing skipPicmip flags from QL HMG, Q2 ETF, Q2 Ion Ripper

• Fixed missing duplicate/dismantel offer for Strogg Hornet Wings vanity

• Marked all Muzzle FX as Low Priority, making that more consistent and further improving performance when disabling Low Priority FX

SEASON 27

Code Updates

• Servers now run at 100 fps tickrate instead of 60

• Clients are now limited to a maximum of 500 FPS

• Friends List Roster now has one row of four buttons to easily display Friends, Following, Followers, and Ignored contacts

• Strogg drone is now using delta compression on net predicted packet data for improved performance

• Player clients are now using delta compression on net predicted packet data for improved performance

• Fixed an asset protection validation issue that could result in long load times or for the client to crash during validation

• Disabled all New Item notification icons

• Disabled Collectables count container from the Champion home screens

• Disabled the Bug Report dialog currently found on the main menu

• Disabled Global Chat, changed it to a System Message announcement channel

Weapon Updates

• Starting Shotgun

  • Added a 10 damage close range bonus when within 3.2 m (For reference, the SSG's close range bonus is 40 damage within 6.4 m)

• Lightning Gun

  • Fixed damage dealt to correctly respect armor protection rates, by reducing damage from 7 to 6, increasing the rate of fire from 48 to 42 ms, and increasing max ammo to 200

Champion Updates

• Death Knight

  • Added 50% damage reduction to the fireball impact explosion

  • Flame strike direct damage reduced from 25 to 20 damage

  • Flame strike trail damage increased from 0 to 3 damage per tick (this is not dot damage, this is damage from actively standing on the fire trail)

  • Reduced fire dot damage reduced from 15 damage for 5 seconds to 6 damage for 5 seconds = max 30 damage (as he now deals direct touch damage from the ground fire)

• DOOM Slayer

  • Fixed Blood Punch drops not removing dot debuffs

• Eisen

  • The turret now shows the spawn protection FX when the turret is protected during Eisen respawns

• Galena

  • Totem damage increased from 40 to 50 damage & empowered totems from 60 to 75 damage

  • Increased Totem health from 25 to 60 hp (the amount of damage it can take before being destroyed)

• Sorlag

  • Added 50% damage reduction to the acid spit projectiles

  • Increased acid dot damage from 7 damage for 10 seconds to 15 damage for 5 seconds

Game Mode Updates

• Sacrifice

  • The Obelisk now plays a global sound each time it gains 20% towards completion. (Issue present online that doesn't occur on lan, will address in the next build)

  • Added the CTF scoring system, personal score gained from offensive & defensive actions regarding the soul and soul-carrier

  • The team scorebox now becomes highlighted when it reaches 90%

• Timelimit Duel

  • Increased the max frags for the Duel HUD support from 50 to 100

Map Updates

  • Fixed three dire orb exploits

  • Potential fix for a seam on the ring-out collision that you could stand on

Vanity Updates

• Fixed Slash CHATTERBOX positioning for Tempest, Fire Trail, Pro League, and Siren outfits

• Fixed RUINER QL HMG power-up shaders (quad, protection, ghostwalk, etc)

• Fixed TESLA Lightning Gun in Ghostwalk

• Updated the Q2BFG10K with improved projectile visuals

• Updated the SCORPION to improve visibility of the nails in third person

• Added the Nyx Blue Brown Sheen shader to lootboxes

Backend Services

• The backend can now be configured to limit players from selecting red / high-ping datacenters

• Updated the backend config storage to include Crosshair Color, Crosshair Hit Color, Ally Team Color, and Enemy Team Color

• Reduced the BP XP requirements. Every level up to 100 now requires 35k, instead of gradually getting harder throughout the pass, and 70k for every level above 100.

• Increased the duplicate weapon credit from 1 to 5 shards

• Increased the duplicate vanity credit from 1 to 3 shards

Season 27 Hotfixes (Now Live 6/27)

• Fixed LEVIATHAN Rocket Launcher from crashing spectators when viewing a player firing the weapon

• Fixed LEVIATHAN Rocket Launcher muzzle flash origin in both first and third person

• Fixed Q3 BFG-10K visual effects in first person Ghostwalk

• Fixed VESTIBULE OF EXILE killzone height in Heavy Armor vista

• Maximum ping threshold for datacenter connection raised from 150 ms to 200 ms
