Rogue Tower 2 is in the works! Development is coming along slow and steady. I don't have much to show off yet, but it is coming along well enough that I feel comfortable finally announcing it.
I have decided to build Rogue Tower 2 from the ground up in a new engine. This opens up some exciting opportunities. Most excitingly: Rogue Tower 2 will have multiplayer! Additionally, due to the amazing feedback I have received since the launch of Rogue Tower, I am able to better design and implement many aspects of the game to fix some oddities the original has been stuck with due to its hasty construction. I will also be able to add in a lot of cool new stuff and I am able to better design the game to receive updates and new content past launch to help keep the game fresh for a lot longer.
However, since the game is being built from the ground up, in a new engine, and for multiplayer, development has been slow going and will take some time. I'm still not sure how long it will take and I don't feel comfortable guessing as I don't want to overpromise anything. But I am looking forward to making Rogue Tower 2 a worthy sequel and the best it can possibly be.
I know it has been awhile since the last Rogue Tower update, and it will be a while longer until Rogue Tower 2 is complete. But I truly hope it will be worth the wait :) I will have more updates in the future when Rogue Tower 2 is further along. Until then, enjoy the rest of summer and all the great games this year has to bring!
