We’re back with a new environment! This time we’ve taken inspiration from Yucatán in Mexico so you’ll get to kayak through mysterious caves and lush cenotes guided by your head-mounted flashlight. Paddle beneath stalactites illuminated by glowworms, make your way through collapsing tunnels in an abandoned mine and navigate our wildest whitewater as the current starts picking up.
Although this originally started as a smaller scale DLC we couldn’t help ourselves and it turned into another massive undertaking. Yucatán is unique to explore in multiplayer, seeing your buddy’s flashlight illuminate the way feels really special. It also features some of the most difficult races so if you enjoy racing this should provide a challenge. We hope you enjoy this new experience that feels different from the previous environments you’ve explored in Kayak VR.
And in a bit of additional news, we’re releasing a complete edition of the game that includes both our DLC environments (Soča Valley and Yucatán). This might not be as relevant for fans who already own the game but for anyone new to the game this will allow them to jump in with everything the game has to offer for a discounted price.
