Drag System - Core Update
We've overhauled the fishing drag system and how equipment handles overload during fights:
- The fish now pulls the line only when the pulling force exceeds the reel's brake setting, calculated as MaxKgReel * Drag. Previously, line tension was triggered as long as the drag was set below 100%, without considering the reel’s actual strength in kilograms.
- Equipment damage has also been improved: now, the weakest component (rod, reel, or line) will always break first. Previously, if two or more parts were overloaded simultaneously, one of them could fail, regardless of its strength rating.
- We've also updated the calculation of rod bending force. Just like with damage, it now respects the reel’s true strength (MaxKgReel * Drag), not just a percentage-based drag factor. This should result in more realistic and skill-based fishing mechanics.
As always, we tested this on our end, but every player has a different feeling about drag & fish fights. If you want to share your feedback, we will read it with pleasure.
Delaware Bay – Free DLC coming June 16
Delaware Bay is a coastal estuary located between New Jersey and Delaware, home to a diverse array of saltwater fish. Anglers can catch flathead grey mullet, battle mid-sized fighters like striped bass and black drum, or take on ocean predators such as Atlantic blue marlin, blacktip sharks, spinner sharks, and more!
It’s our way of saying thank you to everyone who supported the game through its highs and lows. Delaware Bay will be out on June 16th as a Free DLC:

Known Issues
Since we introduced SSR reflections as a setting, there seem to be issues with it. For now ,we suggest using only Planar Reflections and keep SSR reflections DISABLED.
