It’s been just over two months since the release of Slender Threads, and we’re thrilled with how things have gone so far. The game has been really well received — we’ve got over 280 reviews and a 94% positive rating. Thank you all so much for playing and sharing your thoughts.
We wanted to take a moment to talk about the ending. We knew from the start it might be divisive — something some players would love, and others… not so much. We've seen a few comments suggesting the ending felt rushed or improvised, and we want to make one thing absolutely clear: that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, the ending was the very first thing we came up with when we started designing Slender Threads. The entire story was built backwards from that final moment.
If you felt it came out of nowhere, we encourage you to revisit the game and take a closer look — there are dozens of subtle clues and foreshadowing details woven throughout. Still, we understand that an “unhappy” ending can feel frustrating. But sometimes… fate isn’t so easy to escape.
Over the past two months, we’ve kept working on the game. A new update is coming soon, featuring some optimizations and Steam Trading Cards!
We’ve also started porting the game to Nintendo Switch — and so far, it’s running great. We're super excited about how it's shaping up and hope to share more news on that soon. Plus, we’ve begun adding touchscreen support, bringing us one step closer to releasing Slender Threads on Android and iOS as well.

Harvey’s nightmare comes to life — brought into the real world by the incredibly talented Alex Arias.
This hand-crafted statue captures the spirit of one of the game’s most disturbing residents, and we just had to share it with you.

Thanks again for all your support — it truly means the world to us!
