We had to prioritize the contract for another game in 2024, so most of our manpower couldn't be allocated to this game, which resulted in this game not being updated for a ridiculous amount of time. We usually don't do this, and we sincerely apologize.
That said, we have not forgotten this game, nor do we plan on abandoning it. This update adds everything we had planned to add from the very beginning. In particular:
New Content
- New local co-op mode! No internet connection required. As long as you have purchased the game, you can play with up to 4 people on the same computer. When entering the character select screen, press a button on a controller to have 2P, 3P and 4P respectively join the battle.
- Added five new playable characters: Star, Lily White, Lily Black, Clownpiece, Larva, and their respective storylines! (Not unlocked by default; fulfill conditions to unlock)
- Added five new bosses: Aya Shameimaru, Shou Toramaru, Seija Kijin, Mayumi Joutouguu, Megumu Iizunamaru, and their respective maps.
- Previously unfinished achievements have all been added.
- You can now choose character colors. When selecting a character, you can select your desired character color palette before starting the game.
- Tons of new music. We'll be adding them to the OST soon, so if you've bought that, you'll be able to listen to all the new songs directly through the update.
We've also made over 150 fixes and improvements, which would be too looooooong to list here.
It has been some time without updates, after all, so feel free to treat it as a wholly new game.
With the release of this version, everyone we had originally planned for the game is now fully complete. For the future, we plan to continue fixing and improving the game based on player feedback. Once the game is translated into other languages, we'll do the official release.
I first started this game out of willfulness. I wanted a game where you could have fun with friends in any setting, whether it's a family gathering, conventions, dormitories, or anything else. With the project nearing its end, we'll be reclaiming all our feelings and energy and work hard to bring you even better games.
