This update increases the number of save slots to 24, improves the save file structure, then enhancing the stability of the cloud save feature.
Note:
After updating to version 2.02, when you first launch the new version of the game, old version save files will automatically be moved to the "OldVersionArchives" folder in the save directory for backup. It is also recommended that you manually back up your save files before launching the new version of the game.
How to retrieve your save files:
Press Win+R on your keyboard and type AppData.
Go to \LocalLow\EggHatcher\VolcanoPrincess.
- *If you have previously played on multiple devices using the same account, it is recommended to first disable cloud save for backup, and then enable cloud save when launching the game.
- *If you wish to play an older version, move the old save files back to the original "VolcanoPrincess" folder.
Previously, since save files were stored in AppData/LocalLow, players who hadn’t logged in for a long time might have triggered Windows 10/11's automatic cleanup function. We sincerely apologize for this!
If you encounter any issues with save file updates or while playing after Steam Cloud has been enabled, we kindly ask that you submit a bug report to help us improve. Thank you very much!

[Adjustments]
- The EXP reward for the "Intermediate Knight" task in the Lord's quest has been increased from 50 to 60 experience points.(Note: If players encounter a situation where their Lord's experience is 480/500 and all tasks are completed but they cannot level up, we will provide a fix. - A new initialization loading prompt screen has been added when launching the game.
- The backpack sorting system has been updated to sort items based on both type and price.
[Fixes]
- Fixed an issue where enemies did not drop gold and reputation during Dark Alleys battles.
- Fixed an issue where some enemies dropped excessive gold during Dark Alleys battles.
- Fixed an issue in the alchemy room interface where buttons could still be clicked when there was not enough money.
- Fixed an issue where the Scholar event in September of Autumn Fire Year appeared on two maps simultaneously.
- Fixed an issue where random events in the bathhouse job did not correctly increase Fame.
- Fixed various text display errors.
- Fixed an issue where the item count in the collection room showed 290 instead of the correct amount.
