As the year wraps up, we want to thank you for your incredible support since launch. It’s been a busy few months for our small team as we’ve worked hard to roll out updates and fixes across PC and consoles, all based on your valuable feedback.
Hotfixes in the Latest Update:
- Final Cutscene Subtitles: Subtitles are now properly displayed.
- Boss Defeat Soft Lock: Fixed errors that caused soft locks when bosses were defeated.
- Story Video Playback: Resolved an issue where story videos only played from level select and not post-level completion.
- Video Playback Soft Lock: Fixed an issue where videos could soft-lock players if not skipped.
Previous Fixes:
- Control Rebinding: Custom control settings now save correctly, so you won’t need to reconfigure them after each session.
- Cutscene Skipping: No more accidental skipping of cutscenes.
- Dash Grabs: Dashing into grabbable objects or enemies won’t cancel your dash attack.
- Health Pickups: You can now grab health items without dropping your weapon.
- Boss Speed Fix: Bosses won’t slow down mid-fight, keeping the action fast-paced.
- Sprite Sheet Optimization: Visual artifacts from sprite sheets have been eliminated.
Previous Quality-of-Life Improvements:
- Higher Difficulty Tweaks: Harder difficulties are now even tougher for those seeking a challenge.
- Dark Duke Boss Fight: Improved gameplay flow and less spammy mechanics.
- More Floppies: Increased floppy drops, especially from minibosses.
- Ferret AI: Smarter behavior from Ferret enemies.
- Crimson Twins Boss Fight: Combat flow rebalanced for a more satisfying challenge.
- Timber AI: Timber now exits the battlefield more smoothly.
What’s Next?
We’re continuing to refine and optimize based on your feedback, with a focus on stability improvements and performance optimizations to ensure the best experience possible. While multiplayer functionality has taken longer than we initially hoped, we’re actively working on it for all platforms, and aim to share an official update on its rollout in the New Year.
We also have been working on new content with three new playable characters, new shop items, and new game modes. These updates are progressing in parallel with the console versions, so stay tuned for more details!
