This update introduces some fantastic new player skins and a collection of delightfully weird and adorable pets to keep you company on your adventures. From quirky companions to unique Lightbearer styles, there’s plenty to discover that will add a little fun and individuality to your journey. ✨
Meanwhile, we’re hard at work behind the scenes, marching steadily toward Version 1.0. The end of the Early Access phase is nearing as we are getting to a point where we consider Into the Emberlands complete. Your feedback and support have been instrumental in getting us here, and we can’t thank you enough!

💎 In-Game Cosmetics & Customization
- Lightbearer Skins & Starter Items: Choose your style with the new Lightbearer skins– Schooled, Capitalist, Attentive, and Delayed – each with their own starter items!
- Adorable New Pets: Meet new charming companions – Emberthaler, Paper Plane, Rotordendron, Cactus, Tumbleweed, and Emberchick! Who will join you on your adventures? ✨
- New Achievements: 5 shiny new achievements for you to unlock that are tied to the new skins and pets.
🎨 Steam Community Items
We’ve added some new additions to your Steam experience:
- 6 Trading Cards to collect.
- 5 Chat Emoticons: Express yourself in the Emberlands style!
- 4 Profile Backgrounds: for you to bring the cozy Emberlands vibes to your Steam profile.
Profile Badges: 5 levels of badges (plus a foil badge!) to show off your achievements.

Additional Fixes and Improvements:
Player is no longer pushed off-screen by Lost Ones when getting lost
Miasma now consistently closes in around player when getting lost
Fixed an issue where wrong speaker name would appear in tutorial dialogues
Fixed an issue where graphics settings could not be applied using gamepad
Fixed a bug where pets would not follow player when using metro station
Added a pop-up for when a new pet is unlocked
Improved startup video quality
Improved gamepad controls in game credits
Reworded some outdated quest texts
Gave scarlet petalogist their own name
