We have an exciting new update to share! — Dahlia View News

It’s been a few months since our last patch and we wanted to bring you a big new update before we take a break for winter! Since release and after seeing all the great feedback, we thought it might be fun to include a new scene to introduce Charlotte May at the start of the game. We won’t give away too much but be sure to check the scene out and let us know what you think!

We’ve also made 55 fixes (yes, we counted!) of small issues we’ve noticed across the game as we’ve been QAing Dahlia View for release on consoles that we wanted to include in the PC builds to provide the best possible experience for you all. We’ve only included a selected handful of the key fixes you may notice below, but if you want a full list, you can see our post here

It’s a big update, and one the team has been working incredibly hard on so let us know what you think! We’d love your feedback on any other quality of life improvements we can make too.

Large Fixes

Raytracing has been removed from the Options Menu. Dahlia View doesn't have Raytracing support and was a legacy option left over.

Small Fixes

Fixed an issue where you could become locked in The Crows Nest bathroom.
We’ve ensured Lady Doerr sticks around after you re-load the Doerr Manor level from the main menu.
We’ve made some small tweaks on your camera lens to make focusing on objects easier
We’ve stopped you from opening your inventory and notepad during cinematics because we put a lot of time into them and we’d like you to watch
If you ever noticed the background not correctly loaded in some levels, you shouldn't see that again.

Quality of Life Fixes

We’ve reduced difficulty of the Pool Cue in The Crows Nest because lets face it, it was quite difficult even when you knew what you were doing
You’ll now be able to access Scene Select across all of your Save Game files if you’ve unlocked it in at least one Save Game.
We’ve added more localisations to the Question and Evidence boards to ensure our non-English speaking players have the same information as English speakers.
You can now use Scene Select within level (if you have it unlocked), which is accessible from the Pause Menu.
You’ll now see ‘Comment’ prompts in the ‘Read’ overlay on interactables, where Conway will have additional dialogue.

Spoiler Fixes

Removed an unneeded step when interacting with the Pigeon (what did you call them?) in The Crows Nest.
It was possible to become trapped in Lady Doerr’s basement whilst using your inventory, since you’re needed to solve the investigation, we’ve prevented this from happening.
Fixed a blocker that would prevent Tony Morgan rooting around in Shirley Downes’ room.
It was possible for Lady Doerr to not let go of the brooch locking you in the spot, she’ll now relent it to you.
