Split/Second
Split/Second is an intense action racing game set within a reality TV show. Competitors vie to be the first to the finish line in a set rigged to blow. Players don’t just collide with other vehicles to knock them from the track, but can also trigger devastating events that alter the race dynamics.

“Despite of what the store page suggests, it does NOT have full controller support. I refunded the game but I am willing to purchase it again once this lie disappears from the page because the game itself is pretty good”
“Just get the console version instead. It's a good game held back by a flawed PC port.”

“This game ♥♥♥♥♥, its soundtrack BANGS, visual style is BREATHTAKING and the gameplay is FUN AS HELL. I don't know what to say really, this game is truly nothing like anything else in the racing genre, we will never get…”
“Graphics are great, handling feels good most of the time, music is amazing, and there are lots of explosions. My only problem is the AI that the developers back then called "adaptative" but it's pretty much just insane…”

“Ahhhhh yes, its just how I remember it! Fast cars, goated music, smooth controls, and LOTS of explosions! I remembered this game being so fun when I was a kid, its great to know its really held up over all this time!…”
“The basic controller mapping doesn't work, You can easily use a controller with steam community controller mappings. Which took me about 20 seconds to setup and works great. You can even map your own buttons to whatever…”

“Why should you avoid this game? 1. Doesn't work with controllers even though it's listed as full controller support. You may be able to get it to work with Steam input, but I'm not bothering with a game by inept…”
“An absolute underrated gem of a racing game. Can be brutal at times due to the AI but the racing and unpredictability of the power plays makes it too fun to put down. Shame we may never get a sequel. Setting up a…”

“Oh boy, this one hurts. This game is not as fun as it used to be. Everyone will talk about the Chapter 6 save corruption or the 30 FPS cap, but no one will actually talk about what ACTUALLY breaks this game. This game…”
“Played on Xbox, Such a fun idea for a story mode, a fear factor style game of high octane racing. Capped framerate at 30 sucks, but the game is good as hell.”
“Still a good game on PC. Locked to 30 FPS. Can get more fake frames using Lossless scaling app (also available on Steam). Runs just like it did back when it came out for PC. Did not try the multiplayer though.”

“Playing Split/Second feels less like racing and more like accidentally starring in a Michael Bay movie where every driver has access to explosive button. Control wise playing on a keyboard feels like trying to perform brain surgery but not recommended. A controller makes life…”
