After more than a month of work, we are excited to present version 1.8.4 of Chained Together, which introduces a brand new feature many have been waiting for: the creation and sharing of custom maps! This update is designed to unleash your creativity and introduce you to new experiences created by players themselves.
New Features:
Integrated Map Editor: Access the map editor directly from the main menu by clicking on the "Workshop" button. Create your own map using a variety of tools designed to facilitate the creation of challenges, interactions, and unique mechanics.
- Challenges: Discover new challenges made possible by the map editor.
- Logical Interactions: Add buttons, triggers, and object movement mechanisms.
- Environmental Manipulation: You can play with object visibility, their collisions, and even create splines to control movements or craft new environments.
Publishing and Updating Maps: Once your creation is complete, publish it directly from the game to share with the community on the Steam Workshop. Updates to your maps can also be easily managed via the game.
Playing Workshop Modes:
To play a mode created by the community, first subscribe to it via the "Workshop" button in the startup menu.
When creating the game, select "Workshop" as the game mode and choose from the modes you are subscribed to.
Redesigned Settings Interface: We have revised the settings interface for more intuitive navigation.
