Today, we are finally updating Co-op mode! There are also other changes such as weapon rebalancing and (another) hack prevention, which will be noted below.
Patch Summary:
- Co-Op mode: [Very Hard] The Magia Cult Raid, a variation of current [Hard] The Magia Cult, was added.
- Hack Prevention: Added another layer of hack prevention. Previous method was also adjusted, which will make the server less lagging.
- Weapon Rebalancing: Weapons are less heavy, and more balanced (faster). This will make higher tier items more useful. You may experience some issues if you were near the weight limit (25kg by default) before update, so check your weight limit before going into the battle.
- Skill Rebalancing: Some skills were adjusted.
- Repair Cost Rebalancing: Repair cost was adjusted. Lower tier items cost about 1/3 of previous cost, and higher tier items cost about 4/5 of previous cost.
- New Item Details: Dropped items in Solo mode will show the dropped item's tier. Also, new icons were added to make them more distinguishable. Item boxes will show you the probability for each item category.
Co-Op Mode:
- Hosting/Joining the Game: You will be able to find [Very Hard] The Magia Cult Raid in the Solo tab. Matchmaking will happen just like Versus mode. You can start the game alone. Players can't enter the game once the battle begins.
- Victory: Finish the final boss wave before 6 minutes time limit. F: 0 / C: 1,000 / B: 2,000 / A: 7,000 / S: 15,000. You can only get 15,000 points if you beat the game alone with large combo bonuses.
- Death and Defeat: If you are dead, you will be resurrected when your friends proceed to the next room. Or, in the final battle, whenever the boss wave is finished. But dying will lower your score by 1,000 points. The game will end after 6 minutes time limit, or when every player is killed at the same time.
- Reward: The Magia Cult Raid will give you a Weapon for reward, just like The Magia Cult. Also, you can pick up item boxes dropped from the bosses. Item drop is independent to players, which means every player can pick up an item box dropped from one boss.
- Ballista: There are ballistas located in each room (stage). Press R to use them. Each ballista attack has 7500 armor-ignoring damage and 100 kill score. You are vulnerable during you are using a ballista, so ask your friend to protect you.
The map was tested with lv. 1 character with basic equipment.
Weapons:
- Weight: Weight works as both a speed modifier and equipment limitation. The character is slowed down proportionally to the Weight% = (current weight)/(max weight).
- Balance: Balance counters a negative speed modifier from Weight%. Adjusted Weight% = Base Weight% - Balance. Adjusted Weight% can become negative, which will make the character faster. If you are equipping 2 weapons, averaged balance will be used.
- Free Weight: Free weight written below is (Default Balance) * (Default Max Weight) - (Weapon Weight). If you are wearing armors lighter than this, you will be faster than usual.
- Sword: 2.5kg ~ 3.3kg / 32% ~ 56% balance. 5.5kg ~ 11.1kg free weight.
- Mace: 5.5kg ~ 7.2kg / 32% ~ 56% balance. 2.5kg ~ 6.4kg free weight.
- Shield: 3.0kg ~ 6.5kg / 28% ~ 52% balance. 2.0kg ~ 9.5kg free weight.
Shields are further divided as light(3.0kg base), medium(4.0kg base) and heavy(5.0kg base) shield. Lighter shields are faster but small and weak, while heavier shields are slower but large and powerful.
- Hwando: 4.5kg ~ 5.9kg / 34% ~ 58% balance. 4.0kg ~ 9.3kg free weight.
- Battleaxe: 6.5kg ~ 8.5kg / 42% ~ 66% balance. 4.0kg ~ 9.0kg free weight.
- Greatsword: 8.5kg ~ 11.1kg / 50% ~ 74% balance. 4.0kg ~ 8.7kg free weight.
- Warhammer: 10.0kg ~ 13.0kg / 56% ~ 80% balance. 4.0kg ~ 7.5kg free weight.
Skills:
- Dual Wield > Power Attack > Thundering Waves: Takes longer to recover after attack.
- Warhammer > Charge > Hammerhead Charge: Takes longer to recover after attack.
- Warhammer > Evasive Attack > Gatecrasher: Takes longer to recover after attack.
- Dual Wield > Charge > Tabrian Dash: Opponent will recover faster after attack.
Changes were focused on skill's combo potential. Power attacks and Evasive attacks are supposed to break a combo chain, and skills were adjusted accordingly. Tabrian Dash is an exception, but we thought it will still be useful even with less combo potential.
Repair Cost:
- Integrity: Integrity decreases by 1 every time you enter a battle. Once integrity becomes 0 the item will be only 50% effective. Reparing the item will return the effectiveness back to 100%. An item doesn't break or destroyed even if the integrity becomes 0.
- Repair Cost: A unit for Base Repair Cost written below is Gold per Integrity point(GPI). It is only applicable to the items with 100% max integrity. Reparing an item with lower than default max integrity costs more Gold than base cost.
- Crude: 60 --> 20 GPI
- Normal: 70 --> 30 GPI
- Fine: 90 --> 50 GPI
- Unique: 100 --> 80 GPI
- Legendary: 150 --> 120 GPI
Minor Changes:
- A bug where an item would show a wrong icon was fixed.
- In the Versus map The Excalibur, Anti-Excalibur armor will spawn every 10 seconds. (previous time was 30 seconds)
