I want to update you on the upcoming chapter's development progress and answer a few of your questions.
What is the progress on the new update, and when is it ready to be released?
I have recently finished developing Part 1 of Chapter 2 (you can see all of the preview pictures from it in this post), and I am now working on Part 2 of the update. Steam will get an update of a complete Chapter 2 (with both parts).
I originally planned for the update to be released to Steam by June. However, due to various issues, the release will be pushed back a bit later into the summer of 2023.
What will the new update include?
Chapter 1 was an introduction to the game, and it lacked the space to showcase some important gameplay features. One of which is different story paths. Contrary to Chapter 1, Chapter 2 will have several different routes a player can take based on their picked choices in both chapters.
Chapter 2 will also have more content than Chapter 1. It is difficult to say the exact proportions while the update is yet to be fully finished, but what is definite is that Chapter 2 will have at least 2x longer story and at least 3x more erotic animations than Chapter 1.
The game will also get Steam achievements and potentially a few language translations.
Why is the development so slow, and will it always take so long for new updates to come out?
The main reason the update development is taking long is that I work on the game alone, and currently, I can only make it during my free time as a part-time job. With the upcoming update being paid and thus increasing the development budget, things can only change for the better regarding the waiting gap between updates following Chapter 2.
Why do you release the game in chapters and not the full game?
Getting smaller revenue from each update and reinvesting it into faster development time is the quickest way I can finish the entire game.
How many chapters will there be?
The game has a well-planned storyline which will end with Chapter 5.
How much will one chapter cost?
It is difficult to say until I have the update ready.
