A version of the game for modding purposes built with GM's VM is available on Steam beta branch gmvm (no password needed). This version is built with fewer optimizations, so it is recommended to only use it if you want to mod the game.
For the purists, legacy version of the game without rebalanced gameplay (1.3.1) is available on the Steam beta branch 1.3.x (no password needed).
