Before we get into the update news, a quick disclaimer / roadmap:
It's been about two months since our initial Release, and one month since the last Update / Patch. Most of the team has gone on with their studies and is working on different games right now. Since this is not a lucrative business, we do not have the budget to hire someone to work on it nor the ability to spend all our time on it, and so continuously working on updates is not possible for me right now. Thus, I've decided to limit it to one (major) update a month, excluding patches. This month is the Halloween Update! Next month, I would like to do the Fan Update and incorporate anyone who has won or been promised a digital custom hat or some other in-game item. And after that, it's Christmas already. :)
Most post-launch changes to this game come directly from me. The exception to that is the Laser Bike Arcade Game, whose developer also found some time to bring you some changes. :)
Now, let's get into it!
Headlines:
- Halloween: For this month, and this month only, you can activate the Halloween Set by just walking up to the Spraycan directly (instead of having to earn 30 tickets first). But not only that! Because:
- Texture Sets: The Halloween and Aqua Set have a vast amount of new hand-drawn textures for Arcade Machines! These textures now also apply to dirty Arcade Machines. Feel free to check them out. :)
- Save System: Since this has been an issue commonly pointed out in recent reviews, I am trying to make the permanent Save System as smooth and accurate as possible! Specifically, first of, if the lights get turned off by the Ghost, they now stay off if you quit the game and then continue it. Second, all Arcade Games lock after beating them, but they would unlock again by quitting and continuing. Now, they stay locked. If you want further details to that, look into the Bugfixes Section!
Quality of Life:
- Corrected several typos in the Hub Area and grammatical issues in Laser Bike.
Bugfixes
- Save System as mentioned in Headlines Section. Further Details: The Story Progression works by beating any Arcade Game. Beating any one of them will continue the story. Now normally, they get locked after beating them, so that you have to play the others. But if you quit and hit Continue from the Main Menu, all Arcades would be unlocked again. Due to that, you could beat the same game multiple times and traverse the entire story through that. This issue has been addressed so that they stay locked.
- Major Performance Improvements in the Laser Bike Arcade Game due to a rework of its structure!
- Fixed issue with wrench not unlocking from Shop after first Arcade Game
- And many more fixes! :D
