Cursed Deal was designed to be completely co-op focused, but we see that solo players are showing a lot of interest in the demo. We have created a new roadmap considering both solo and co-op players. We will share it with you soon. Join our Discord for real-time updates.
Cultist Player:
- The task of the vampire cult is to collect the ritual items needed for the ritual and to perform it while fending off the creature. The number of ritual items is determined based on the number of players.
- You can use the rune stone to find the altar where the ritual item is located. After using the rune stone, you can hold down Q to see where the altar is located.
- If you decide to check any altar you come across and it is empty, your location will be revealed to the player who is the creature.
- To repel the creature, you need to flash your flashlight within the green and orange range. If it’s in the red, meaning overcharged, it won’t work. In the overcharged state, the creature will not be affected by the flash. We’ve noticed that some players do not fully understand the flashing mechanic during the tutorial; in the tutorial, you are asked to flash the creature. You need to hold down LMB (Left Mouse Button) and release it at the appropriate time. We’ve added this mechanic to balance the gameplay between the creature and the human players.
- When you enter an altar, you will see 2 or 3 red trails that you need to follow. Only one of these trails is correct and will lead you to the ritual item.
- If you get lost, you can use the middle mouse button to place a pin, indicating your location to your teammates.
Creature Player:
- By breaking rune stones, you can briefly see the players' locations.
- You can add a skill to the creature that allows you to see the location of the humans. Make sure to distribute the abilities equally between the cultist and the creature.
- Anti-camping mechanic. If a human player remains inactive for 2 minutes, their location will be revealed to the creature player.
