Hello, Tamers!
Dragon Eclipse launched into Early Access more than 3 weeks ago. Thank you SO MUCH for being a part of this journey and providing a lot of feedback! We read and analyzed all your comments thoroughly. Based on that, we’ve already released a few small updates, focusing on bug & crash fixing, and various UX-related features.
Today we’re proud to present you with the first full-fledged content patch for Dragon Eclipse - the Shadow Realm! As many of you have beaten the game on the highest difficulty level, this brand-new land offers an even greater challenge for the bravest ones.
Rest assured, this is just the beginning of our journey. We’re already working on new updates of similar size, and we plan to keep releasing them every 2 weeks.
Without further ado, let’s jump straight into it!
Discover the Shadow Realm
Embark on an eerie adventure through the Shadow Realm, which, for the most part, remains a mystery to humanity. It is said that every 1000 years, a double eclipse opens a portal to this world. Last time, the Dragon Guardians closed it at great cost, but they haven't appeared this time. It's up to you to dive into the realm, uncover its secrets, and close the portal for good!
Encounter new enemies
Prepare to face two new foes in the Shadow Realm:
- Fungusmo: this enemy introduces a brand-new mechanic with its two phases. Don’t get too comfortable seeing it dormant.
- Exalted Shadowling: another two-phase opponent. One of the phases renders your attacks useless. Or… does it?
Challenge a new boss
Meet Skitterpaw, the new boss of the Shadow Realm. Not to spoil too much, but you can be sure it’s very powerful, as it possesses the power to manipulate elements. This epic battle will test your skills to the fullest!
Blessings-related store changes
To add an extra layer of resource management, we’ve made some tweaks to the store & Blessings mechanics. For a small amount of Mystberries, you can now freeze a specific Blessing, ensuring it appears the next time. Additionally, the third Blessing slot is now locked and can only be unlocked by redeeming this slot.
Expanded hub story events
This one you’ll have to explore for yourself! In short, most Mystlings have received additional story events that expand their background and deepen the narrative.

PS Below is a full changelog of the fixes we’ve implemented since the Early Access release day. These include the ones going live in the Shadow Realm patch.
Added:
- duplicate and upgrade card animations in Cards Forge;
- “Skip Tutorial” feature;
- Steam Cloud saves;
- Eclipse 3 difficulty level;
- new Shadow Realm map (accessible upon defeating the Boss on Eclipse 3 difficulty level);
- new enemies: Red Fungusmo, Green Fungusmo, Exalted Shadowling and Headless Shadowling;
- new Boss: Skitterpaw;
- new mechanic: one Blessing slot in the post-battle shop now needs to be unlocked with Mystberries;
- new mechanic: Blessings in the post-battle shop may now be frozen so they are guaranteed to appear in the next post-battle shop;
- all Tamers now have their unique skin when traversing the map;
- new story events for all Mystlings in the village.
Fixed:
- removing a Mystling card breaking said Mystling’s evolution;
- the healing from the Care Center or the Healing Totem not working;
- small and big issues with code, art UX, and UI spread throughout the whole game;
- training popup back button;
- Spawn Enemy Necroworms causing immortal enemies;
- Deep Pouch Blessing incorrectly adding Mystberries;
- revive button in the “Select Blessing” popup;
- Poisoned Totem Blessing applying vulnerable to wrong targets;
- the player character being displayed under certain objects on the map and in the hub;
- cards blocked on hand;
- lowest health targeting;
- evolution and card forge issues;
- position of faint particles on Phantom Golomo;
- player character pathfinding errors;
- errors in cards preview in the hub;
- save & exit error on rewards after combat;
- using the “Save & Exit” option caused errors in the tutorial battles;
- Necroworm spawning a Small Necroworm sometimes made other enemies invincible;
- XP was not displayed correctly on the run summary screen;
- some issues where the controller was losing input focus;
- some abilities were not triggering the “Knock Out” trigger;
- passive effects with “health below half” trigger now trigger instantly;
- the “Wake-Up Call” card now discards all cards before triggering its effect;
- a bug where some Blessings and Cards were incorrectly appearing in Post-Battle Shop more often than they should;
- layer issues on some particle effects;
- some missing particle effects during battles;
- some missing shadows in the village;
- a bug where the player was able to skip the boss battle story event;
- errors on loading save files;
- misaligned positions of buttons in card forge;
- missing attack animation to Eftus;
- Eftus’ passive ability now correctly triggers the “Knock Out” trigger;
- some Mystlings were incorrectly gaining power once evolved;
- a small offset on Tamer’s movement;
- some input issues on controllers;
- some broken consumables animations in the shop;
- price of healing was displayed in some cases when healing was prevented;
- player could purchase consumables above the limit.
Improved:
- shop UX;
- UX for card removal, duplicate, and upgrade;
- wording on some cards, tooltips, and tutorial popups;
- text highlights in localization;
- general pathfinding;
- the camera position on the world map.
Misc:
- Phantamer is now immune to stun;
- updated Phantom Mystling passive ability icons;
- one easy battle is now optional on all Forest maps;
- Green Cap Blessing now revives fainted Mystling instead of giving it the Revive status;
- the Skip button is now harder to press accidentally when opening a treasure chest;
- removed unnecessary experience bar in the Mystling details popup.
