Pet System

The Pet System is a "quality of life (QOL)" system, which should help you progress without giving you major stat boosts.

Pet Traits
Shapeshifter
This pet trait allows you to turn into the pet itself, moving faster and ignoring enemy collision.
Soulfetcher
This pet trait allows you to collect the souls of bosses weaker bosses, allowing you to progress with minimal backtracking.
Blinker
This pet trait allows you to teleport to maps you've already visited, making it easier to kill bosses you left for later.
Shopper
This pet trait gives you a discount when buying any gear or relic.
Managing Traits
Traits are limited by the pet rarity, each rarity has a limit of how many traits your pet can have, the maximum rank it can achieve, and which traits the pet can unlock.
- COMMON: Can only unlock one trait, the max rank is 3
- RARE: Can unlock two traits, the max rank is 5
- EPIC: Can unlock two traits, the max rank is 7, can unlock the Soulfetcher trait
- LEGENDARY: Can unlock three traits, the max rank is 10, can unlock the Soulfetcher trait
Rank
When battling, your pet will gain experience with you. For each monster you defeat, the pet will earn 1 exp (2 for bosses), this value can be affected by the "All or Nothing" skill.
Aether
A new currency harvested from pets. You can set a pet free and get an amount of Aether based on the pet Rank and rarity. You can use Aether to upgrade a pet rank without bringing it to battles.
Codex
There area 64 pets to collect. By collecting a certain amount of pets you'll receive a bonus, being:
- Wild Pets: +1%, +2%, +3% and +4% EXP (10% total)
- Unique Pets: +1%, +2%, +3% and +4% GOLD (10% total)
Hatching
There are two ways you can hatch a Pet:
- By dropping an egg from monsters
- By buying eggs with Tickets
When hatching you'll get a random pet, the only way to know which pet you will get is by killing mobs with the "paw" icon, these mobs are certain to drop an egg that will hatch the corresponding pet.
