Meowdy Rangers! We're looking forward to showing off the little world of Whisker Waters with you, so we're bringing a quick recap of what to look forward to!
The Story
You'll be assuming the mantle, collar, or fishing rod of a Ranger! A group that, in history, was tasked with maintaining balance among the animal tribes by protecting the environment, managing trade between them, and ensuring healthy fish populations, until something halted this endeavor...
The Role-Playing Gattos
You'll need to keep in mind a few stats while fishing, on the surface is a cosy, warm cat-fishing game, but lurking underneath the surfact is a surprising beast of RPG mechanics! Here's only a few:
- Scare - This measures how much you will startle a fish while attempting to hook it, scare it too much and it'll run away.
- Efficiency - Efficiency is how much stamina is used while attempting to pull a fish in, higher efficiency means you can fight a fish for longer.
- Cast - Higher case means you throw your rod out further and have more opportunities to entice more fish.
- Lean - This modifies how strong you are in reeling a snagged fish in-between mini-games!
The Fishing
Factors such as location, time of day, bait, and rod type must all be taken into account before casting your rod! Once your fish is hooked, there are over 24 ways they will challenge you with time, accuracy, and control-based mini-games, influenced by the reel you have to assist you!
