We're excited to announce that our game, "Doodle Adventure of Chameleon," is finally live! Dive into a fantastical adventure that takes you back to the whimsical world of childhood fantasies.
As a platformer game, what launch would be complete without a speedrunning event? But this time, we're not just racing to see who can finish the game the fastest. We're challenging you to be the first and fastest to complete the hidden achievement, "Nightmare"! Here are the details:
Event Duration:
June 5th, 19:00 - June 19th, 08:59 PDT
Event Rules:
- Complete the hidden achievement, "Nightmare," and upload a recording of the process to Youtube or Bilibili. Provide the video link and a screenshot of the achievement completion in your Steam library (including your Steam account info) to the official staff (join our official Discord Channel: https://discord.gg/x9taMKpCvB, Admin: Edigger-Rye).
- The event consists of two parts: completing the "Nightmare" achievement in the shortest time and being the first to complete it. Both will be rewarded.
- The recording must show returning to the main menu after completing the challenge to ensure the game's version number is visible.
- The completion time will be based on the video's publishing time as displayed on the platform.
- Cheating or using assistive modes during the challenge is prohibited. The video should begin with opening the settings menu to confirm that assistive modes are disabled.
- Ensure game music is enabled throughout the video.
Event Rewards:
- Fastest completion of the "Nightmare" achievement: 600 CNY (About 80 USD) Steam Gift Card (Counting starts from when the protagonist turns dark, i.e., the beginning of part 3 of level five, until touching the finish flag.)
- First uploader of the "Nightmare" achievement completion video: 300 CNY (About 40 USD) Steam Gift Card
- Second uploader of the "Nightmare" achievement completion video: 150 CNY (About 20 USD) Steam Gift Card
Tips:
- The "Nightmare" achievement tests precise platform jumping skills. No need to think about color-changing this time!
- There might be a special route hidden in the level design of the fifth stage!
- Ensure the video content is complete and unedited; otherwise, it will be considered invalid.
- Each player can only submit one entry. Multiple submissions will be disqualified except for the latest one.
- Since players won't know when the hidden achievement will be completed, there may be cases where the completion isn't recorded. However, you'll need to redo the challenge in that case.
- Don't stop your attempts just because three players have already uploaded videos. There might still be rule violations among the first submissions.
- Rewards will be distributed in the form of Steam gift cards.
- If the account is in a different currency, the gift card amount in CNY will be automatically converted to an equivalent value in that currency.
