The new version is finally out!
Highlights in this update:
- New "Realistic" world
Available both in Just build and Survival game modes. It generates natural mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers. The old world is now called "Wild".
- Better looking
All materials have been updated to look more realistic. The rendering pipeline has been rewritten to support fully physically based materials. Triplanar mapping for smooth texturing of terrain. Realistic specular lighting. HDR render targets with auto-exposure. Better transparency sorting. New leaves, plants and grass.
- New tree models
Almost all tree have been updated with more organic and better looking models.
- New Protector attack
Shoots fireballs from eyes if player is close.
- Water filled caves
Will probably need to add craftable diving gear.
- Material sensitive edits
Blockscape will now track hardness of materials when you add or remove terrain. Adding a soft material like leaves next to rock will leave the rock voxels intact and removing grass next to a tree root will leave the root voxels intact.
