We’re excited to tell you that the time to leave Early Access is upon us, DwarfHeim v1.0 is coming on September 27th!
Early Access has been a journey, and whilst it took longer than expected, we’re so grateful to the amazing community that come along with us.
We weren’t able to achieve everything that we had set out to do with DwarfHeim during early access, so we’re not going into the v1.0 launch in the way we had intended, but do want to reflect on how much we were able to update and improve DwarfHeim during early access, with thanks to excellent feedback and a close-knit community.
Early Access saw the addition of player rewards for online matches, an improved Thane leveling system, a selection of new Thanes with unique abilities, new tutorials, pathfinding tools, local hosting, queuing for different game types simultaneously, and a complete Survival Overhaul with intense blood moon events featuring new enemy types.
That’s not all! We have a number of updates that we were able to finish and bring along to the v1.0 release!
V1.0 is launching with the following exciting updates and improvements!
- TUNNELS
- Upgraded Defenses
- Achievement update for survival
- New survival UI
- New Hilda lobby animations
- Change survival troll colours (minimap & health bar)
- Arrow projectiles rotate towards the target
- Added survival difficulty bonus when playing on a team
- New Thanes voice lines
- Auto-chop after constructing lumber mill
- New thane, cosmetics and troll icons
- Level reward buttons send to collection screen for item clicked
Finally, as a little thank you to our Early Access players and those who join us on launch, we have a unique weapon skin that will be given to every current player and only available for 30 days from launch.
We know this isn’t what you expected when you joined us in Early Access, and we’re sorry that we weren’t able to realise the vision we had for our unique twist on the genre, but we hope that you can join us in celebrating the release of DwarfHeim v1.0 and we want to share one final, truly heartfelt, THANK YOU, for taking a chance on DwarfHeim and being part of the wonderful community that we are so grateful for.
