V2.0 Update Incoming! — A House of Many Doors News

Greetings, denizens and visitants. I bring some fantastic news to brighten your November.

As most of you may already know, there's an unofficial patch for House of Many Doors, created by an incredibly talented and hard-working fan named Altotas. The patch fixes a huge number of bugs and adds some new content to the game.

Well, Altotas contacted me behind-the-scenes recently. He has very kindly offered to let me add his bugfixes to the Steam game. (The added content will remain exclusive to the fan patch, though I encourage you to download and try it out!)

What does this mean? Well, on the 21st November - to coincide with the Autumn Sale - I'll be updating the game for the first time in, oh God, 6ish years. A bunch of annoying bugs will finally be fixed, and some quality-of-life improvements will be added as well. Happy exploring!

However, one thing to note is that this update will break your existing saves. But fear not - if you're currently playing through the game, you can use Steam to opt in to the "compatibility" branch, which contains the old unpatched version of the game.
