It’s worse than the Hell-Goats—it's Lawyers!
Can you win the game starting with 4 Lawyers in your squad? You'll need to be careful about the Giant Rats they bring with them. But don’t lose hope—you can fight back with two new units, and practice your strategies in the Custom Game mode.
New Game Mode: Custom Game
Practice in your very own Holodeck by selecting the exact number of bosses and the health curve. Who will be the first to win against a boss with 10 million health?
You may notice that Jon's stuck a few dimmed-out panels on the right. That's for the future—the real reason we're doing Custom Game right now is so that we can add in a bunch of modifiers and starting squad and test them out in advance of introducing them to the missions.

Later this month, on our Discord, we'll hold a vote to see which of this updates new pieces we want to destroy for good. So, what are they?
New Units: The Enchantress and The Siphon
Two new RARE ones: the dangerous Enchantress and the alluring Siphon. Or are those reversed? No, we're going with that.
- The Enchantress - Mark adjacent Water, Fire and Steam for destruction. For each, increase a random deployed unit’s Base Damage by +1. If this happens, randomly add 1 Water, Fire, or Steam to the Militia.
- The Siphon - Marks all like-units for destruction. if not protected, transfer all their base damage to the Siphon.
Again, we plan to murder one of these. It's up to you which.
Starting Squad: Lawyer Up
Defeat any mission with the Frog Squad and unlock the Lawyer Squad. This is an interesting one, our first all-rare starting squad, opening up play styles and strategies.
Lawyer: Gains permanent +2 base damage whenever its multiplier or bonus damage are boosted. If fewer than 3 Giant Rats are deployed, 10% chance to add one to your militia.
Just watch out for the rodents.
Balancing and Bugfixes
- Gold: Increased base damage to adjacent units by +1.
- Silver: Now grants +1 to bonus damage to adjacent units.
- Strength Serum: Now provides +5 bonus damage.
- Ascetic: Transforms into a Civilian when one-shotting a boss.
- Gold Dragon: Has a global reach for Gold and Silver units.
- Slight increase to overall boss health curve to compensate for new units and balance changes.
- Strength Serum was only adding in-round damage.
- Whiskey now correctly interacts with Constructs.
- Fixed a bug where loading from savegame could continue playing music from the intro.
- Fixed a bug where the flashing log marquee was showing after players already selected it.
- Alchemist was incorrectly duplicating transformed pieces.
- And assorted others!
