Full Release has been launched!
"MISTROGUE: Mist and the Living Dungeons" is now "Full Release" version! To celebrate its launch, we are having a 35% off special sale for a week from October 27th to November 2nd.
The official version contains two major added content - the “Battle Road” challenge and “Skill Book” quest, with over 20 items and 15 skills added. In Addition, the camera can now be freely rotated, and the equipment loot comes with random bonus effects.
We will continue to improve on the game, fixing bugs and tweaking skills here and there. Apart from that, we hope you will give us your feedback so we can create better content for an improved experience. We are also working on a Nintendo Switch version! We hope you'll enjoy "MISTROGUE: Mist and the Living Dungeons"!
Pricing
We have reduced the price in August, which is a substantial price cut compared to the Early Access version. This was after receiving feedback who played our game in the Early Access version. We hope the price change will allow more people to enjoy the game, ultimately creating a long-term development support of the game.
New Content
The Battle Road
A challenging boss rush dungeon “The Battle Road” has been added to the game. Arm yourself with the best equipment as you can, because as you make progress through each stage it will only get harder! There are a total of 5 stages to beat:
- First Battle Road
- Second Battle Road
- Third Battle Road
- Fourth Battle Road
- Ultimate Battle Road
To start the First Battle Road, players must challenge the “Endless Hyperspace” and return to Lootgar.
In Lootgar, there is a scoreboard for the final Ultimate Battle Road stage, where players can compete how fast they clear the Battle Road.
Skill Book
The new feature “Skill Book” quest is an ultimate guidebook for players to start "Skill Build" journey.
The Skill Book contains "support quests", which will give you necessary equipments to assemble skills with synergies. To achieve the quests, you'll need to hunt certain types of enemies.
Each Skill Build (called Skill Sets) will also have "levels"; as you make progress in the Skill Build, there are more Skill Synergies unlocked.
The Skill Book can be obtained after having entered the Living Dungeon once and talking to Rex in Lootgar.
System
- Bonus skills and bonus empty slots are randomly added to weapons, shields, and bracelets. There is a chance bonus skill slots will be added to dropped items, and equipment with bonus skills will be listed with an “EX” before their name. Bonus skills differ per item.
- Equipment skills can be reset now. Resetting will make the skill slots you attached with Skill Books to empty. Resetting can be done through the sub menu for equipment inventory.
- MP cost and recast times for skills that have a hitbox are now counted not at the time of selection, but at the timing when the skill hits.
- Adjustments have been made to Lupo’s inventory, both in dungeons and Lootgar.
- The boss floors in the Endless Hyperspace are fixed and will not fall.
- The scoreboard for the Endless Hyperspace is reset.
- The camera can now be rotated. （Gamepad：R stick, Keyboard: Z/X keys） Pressing down the R stick on a gamepad or pressing X and Z together on a keyboard will make the camera angel swivel to the back.
- Rewards have been added for clearing the “Maze of Mist”.
- Continuous damage caused by effects such as “Poison” and “Burn” are now immune to damage reduction skills such as “Block”, “Protection”, “Guardian’s Blessing”.
- Staff credit rolls do not start after clearing the “Maze of Mist” but can be accessed from the title screen instead.
- Player MP capacity in normal mode for Lv.1 has increased from 10 to 20, and required exp for leveling has been adjusted.
- Changes are made to when the Endless Hyperspace is unlocked.
- The dungeon map is now displayed with Mist in the center.
Changes made to items and skills
- The active skill “Flame Blade” has a Burn percentage of 13% instead of 10%.
- Recast time for the active skill “Blood Surge” has been shortened to 15 secs instead of 30 secs.
- The active skills “Double Stab”, “Triple Stab” and “Savage Stab” have a force of 30 instead of 25.
- The active skill “Eruption” is now triggered at a faster pace.
- The active skill “Blade Storm” has a force of 100 instead of 90.
- The active skill “Wind Cutter” uses MP2 instead of 0 and has a force of 60 instead of 50.
- Changes made to the active skill “Ignition”
Old: Costs 5 MP. Deals damage with a force of 70 to surrounding enemies. Deals critical damage equal to the remaining Burn damage yet to be dealt to a Burned target. Removes Burn state once damage is dealt.
New: Costs 5 MP. Deals damage with a force of 70 to surrounding enemies. Deals critical damage equal to the remaining Burn damage yet to be dealt to a Burned target and increases damage by 60%. Removes Burn state once damage is dealt.
- Changes made to the active skill “Poison Break”
Old： Deals damage with a force of 40 to all surrounding enemies. Increases 100% damage to poisoned enemies per stack of Poison. Removes Poison status once damage is dealt.
New：Deals damage with a force of 40 to all surrounding enemies. Adds additional 80 force to poisoned enemies per stack of Poison. Removes Poison status once damage is dealt.
- Changes made to the active skill “Dragonfall”
Old: Deals damage with a force of 55 to all surrounding enemies. Increases 100% damage to enemies with over 80% remaining HP.
New：Deals damage with a force of 80 to all surrounding enemies. Increases 50% damage to enemies with over 80% remaining HP.
- Changes made to the active skill “Destroy”
Old：Costs 8 MP. Deals damage to all enemies in front with a force of 160. Increases 100% damage to enemies with over 80% remaining HP.
New： Costs 8 MP. Deal damage to all enemies in front with a force of 240. Increases 100% damage to enemies with over 50% remaining HP.
- Passive skill “Time Compression” is not stackable anymore.
- Effects for UC item “Immunity Potion” has been shortened from 30 secs to 15 secs.
- Changed rarity of equipment “Sprint Bracelet” from R to UC.
- Reduced empty slots for UC equipment “Crystal Shield” from 2 to 1.
- Changed UC equipment name “Speed Bracelet” to “Sprint Bracelet”.
- Changed the force of R item “Explosion” Skill Scroll from 350 to 380.
- Added unique skill “Slash” to R rank equipment “Wind Blade” and reduced its empty slots from 2 to 1.
- Changed equipment “Knight Shield” rarity from UC to R, and its defense to 5. Empty slots are reduced from 2 to 1, and pricing has changed to 2800 Gold.
- Unique skill for SR equipment “Flame Shield” has changed from “Heat Skin” to “Flame Wall”.
- Deleted SR item “Invisible Skill Scroll”. Those who have used it on a slot will have their slots emptied, and all Invisible Skill Scrolls in the warehouse and inventory will be deleted.
The changes made to the skills are adjustments made for the new content ”Battle Road”. They are applied so it is easier to fight against solo bosses and increase versatility to skill builds.
Notably, the explosive damage in “Poison Break”, the stackable buffs for “Time Compression” (also in “Invincible”, “Hero Stance” and “Blood Spiller” etc.), and the ability to continuously use “Invincible” proved to disrupt the games balance when it came to time attack challenges and rankings. Changes have been made to maintain difficulty levels within the challenge.
