As mentioned in our last major update post (https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2343240/view/3705942017949640159?) Wretched Depths began as student project for the University of Utah Capstone 2023 class. Our student project is complete, but we have a lot more we would love to give to our community. We are officially releasing 1.0 for our teammates who will not be continuing on the project to allow them to have a finished game within their portfolio, but the rest of the team is very excited to announce the start of work on Wretched Depths 2.0. We plan to include a lot of new content including different endings, new characters, controller support, and general quality of life updates. We also plan to open Beta testing to those who are interested. Keep your eyes peeled for a community Discord announcement coming soon.
Changes to expect in 1.0:
- The 1.0 ending is finally in the game!
- Added new scenery to the town.
- Added a new track to the radio
- Added a new event tied to the fisherman event
- Added the game credits
- Added more control clarity to the inventory
Bugfixes in 1.0
- Fixed a bug where mouse sensitivity was not being updated
- Fixed a bug where the fishlopedia progress would not save between scenes
- Fixed a bug where fish could sometimes be stacked in the inventory
