I was able to successfully get an alpha build up on Steam for testing across several different computers of different makes/models via Steam distribution.
The good news is that the game was able to be downloaded and installed on all devices tested and the game launched as well through Steam.
The bad news is that it didn't perform that great on laptops that were 5-6+ years old.
With the current devices tested, here's a list of the system specs of the lowest end device that ran the game without any frame rate problems:
- OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
- Processor: Intel i5-3570K @3.40 GHz
- Memory: 16 GB RAM (Less than 2 GB was used by the game during run-time)
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 2048 MB available space
- Sound Card: On Board Sound
I doubt that something with that high of requirements will be needed for the game but at the moment, that's what I have been able to test for.
Something else to note - Unreal Editor 4 has baseline requirements for the engine so these may work just fine as well:
- OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
- Processor: Quad Core Intel or AMD Processor, 2.5 GHz or Faster
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher
- DirectX: Version 10
- Storage: 2048 MB available space
- Sound Card: On Board Sound
I will keep the system requirements updated with any tests that have lower requirements than listed and work more on optimization to hopefully get the game playable on older / less beefy devices.
