Forged Battalion has officially left Early Access and is now a fully launched game!
We want to say a huge thank you to you, our players, for all your time and feedback during the Early Access period. Your experiences helped us craft, balance and develop Forged Battalion during Early Access into what it is today.
At full launch, Forged Battalion contains:
- 15 single player campaign missions
- 2-8 player (or AI!) unranked Online Multiplayer
- 1 v 1 ranked Online Multiplayer.
- AI skirmish battles – play against up to 7 AI players.
- AI difficulty settings for single player campaign missions and AI skirmish battles.
- Standard, Annihilation and Destroy HQ unranked / AI multiplayer game modes.
- Faction Creator. Save multiple Factions to take into battle.
- 71 attachments across 4 Tech Tree tiers.
- Building attachments – customise turrets, HQs and superweapons using attachments.
- Map Editor & Steam workshop support.
- Soundtrack, sound design and voice-overs by the iconic RTS composer Frank Klepacki.
Launch Patch Notes
- 5 new campaign missions
- Remaining voice overs for campaign missions 5-15.
- Menu: Localisation added for surround sound options in the audio menu.
- Menu: Localisation added for campaign difficulty tool tip.
- Menu: Custom maps no longer appear with the name [MISSING] on the loading screen.
- Mission 7: Stephanie Milovich and the Commander’s text lines are no longer cut off by the Victory / Defeat screens.
- Mission 8: Fixed multiple lines of repeated text in non-English languages for character speech.
- Mission 9: If the player is defeated, Dallas speech is no longer interrupted by the defeat screen.
- Various minor text and localisation tweaks
