Hi hunters, release week is ending soon, and I want to take a moment to tell you what I am working on for the coming time.

But first, I'm really happy and grateful with how the release went! The game is currently at 88 reviews with a solid Very Positive rating. Wishlists have not gone down (as is often the case on launch) but up, from about 8000 to 26107 wishlists at the time of writing. This means there's a lot of untapped interest in the game as well. Sales are better than expected, and this means I can keep focusing full-time on improving eXoSpace, which is truly a lot of fun, I'm far from burnt out on this project and full of ideas.

First I thought nobody on youtube would ever notice eXoSpace, despite me spamming them with personalized e-mails (a pretty useless activity but you got to try), but then some smaller streamers made nice videos and now Splattercat did a really funny video about eXoSpace! You should take a look, he's so much fun to watch.

Anyway, back to the plans for the coming weeks at least:

Onboarding

New players are sometimes getting lost when playing the game for the first time. Especially when you are not at home in spaceship building games, all the buttons, controls, concepts are a bit overwhelming. To improve onboarding I'll rework the tutorials, add more help items, and make some things work a bit more intuitively.

Steam Deck & native Linux support

Although the game officially is registered as "Playable" on Steam Deck, several players are having problems actually running on Steam Deck, the controllers are sometimes not working as they should, and Linux support is also limited. I want to fix these things in one go, by also introducing a dedicated Linux build and get an official Steam Deck verified status.

New content & Quality of Life

Of course there's a whole lot of players that are onboard already, and not on Linux. I want to add new parts, a playable faction, updated or new bosses and more, to keep you occupied. As well as more balancing, bugfixing, and adding some nice quality of life featues such as mirrored editing of selected parts:

There's a lot more planned and in the works than I'm telling you all here, but I'll keep that hush hush until I'm fairly certain it will actually make it into the game, Now I'm back to coding!
