I Know a Guy 1.0 is FINALLY HERE!
Welcome back to Hobarey Town! Since our last update, we’ve been working overtime in the kitchen, the backroom, and deep down in the basement. Version 1.0 brings the ultimate experience: a real way to settle your debt with Tony, two distinct endings, arcade cabinet duels with cops and the mob, bizarre night visitors, an underground kitchen, revamped forgery mechanics, new pizzas, new mini games and a massive list of fixes and performance boosts.

⚠️ A NOTE ABOUT OLD SAVES:
Saves from before 1.0 are marked OLD VERSION. While you can still load them after a prompt, the economy, progression systems, and quests have changed drastically. We strongly recommend starting a brand-new campaign for the intended 1.0 experience!
New Content
Characters & Quests
Elon Tusk and Roach King Zack join the nighttime visitor quest line, alongside Case. Each visitor has a three-part questline. Elon has specific pizza requirements, while Zack brings his own unusual ingredients.
Completing these visitors’ questlines unlocks new encounters around town.
Sewer Turtles: Deliver pizzas to a mysterious hand reaching out of sewers across 10 new quests.
Eleanor Marsh: Dig up the ground for a mysterious quest line. Complete her questline to unlock a buyer who pays BTC for medical supplies.
Red Eye: These cuties come back again, starting with a request starnge things. Complete the questline to unlock new super ingriendts.
SPY missions: Disable security cameras, play a minigame to plant listening devices.
CLEANING missions: Cleaning crime scene was just a cliche before. Now, it's your problem too.
Restored Hammer Hank’s second quest.
Added new vendor content for Silas Bolt, Captain Marlow and his cashier crew, Leo Caruso’s 3D storefront, Adrian’s Secret, and Manny Rollins’ new Skate Store.
Added 10 skateboards and 9 hats, and these hats are lit.
Added unique animations for open-world NPCs.
Pizza Shop & Equipment
Added four ingredients: chicken, corn, gorgonzola, and parmigiano.
Added four pizzas, bringing the menu to 12 recipes.
Added a drink machine and drink orders.
Added a sauce rack with six sauces. Customers can request sauces for individual pizzas.
Added XL ingredient containers.
Added the Prep Counter, with space for eight ingredient containers and two topping boards.
Added a purchasable pizza box dispenser.
Added a pizza-themed Air Dancer decoration.
Added the Bitcoin Miner Mk.III and a wall-mountable family portrait.
Shady Business
Added an underground kitchen, accessible through a ladder that you won't like it's vibe...
Added three mushroom varieties across 18 gathering locations.
Enabled the Forgery Table again with a way juicy mechanics.
Added 18 scripted forgery jobs, followed by unlimited randomized jobs.
Added 16 usable contraband items, with effects including speed boosts, intoxication, and blackouts that leave you waking up in hospital.
Added five stages of backyard camouflage: barbed wire, planters, washing racks, a guard dog, and a washing counter. And yes, you can pet the dog.
Added a bulk-order van that arrives daily at 13:00, requesting a selection from your active shady jobs.
Added mafia enforcers who can break your legs.
Brought back rat infestations. Be glad we didn’t bring back the Black Plague too!
Features
Debt & Campaign Progression
Completely rebuilt the debt system around 10 installments, each with a deadline of 48–120 in-game hours.
Installments can now be paid in BTC with a single click.
Added the Friendly Loans TV in the back room, better you go there and check yourself. Just saying.
On-time payment rewards include the Forgery Table, five buried cash bags, new Tier 3 Bitcoin machine and more.
Missed-payments have consequences. Beware.
Reputation penalties can increase shady reputation shifts to 2×, then 3×. Interest penalties add 10%, then 20%, to the following installment.
Ongoing penalties are cleared by the next payment.
Added new good and bad endings, complete with dedicated finale sequences!
Added post-ending continuation, allowing you to keep playing the same save after the good ending.
Reputation, Duels & Sabotage
Expanded reputation to −200 through +200, divided into seven zones.
New arcade duel mini-game series:
Midnight Skater, Cop Bop, and Pizza Typer and Who Wants to Be a Wise Guy. Since we know who wants to be a millonaire, no need to ask.
Added sabotage in dangerous reputation zones:
The mafia can damage belongings.
Police can seal the shop.
Added reputation-driven music, with mafia themes in the front of the shop and police themes on the shady side.
Shop Management & Player Actions
Hired cashiers now handle orders from start to finish, including sauces and drinks.
Rebuilt equipment placement with instant positioning, counter edge snapping with 5-degree rotation.
Added new actions to the action wheel.
Game Balance
Pizza recipes now unlock through leveling instead of being purchased.
Pizza XP rewards now vary by recipe.
Separated the pizza shop and shady business XP curves.
Reworked open-world jobs with new names, clearer two-line HUD descriptions, level requirements, and availability windows.
Players can hold up to four open-world jobs at once.
Shady customers can now arrive while other shady jobs are active.
Jobs requiring an upgrade you do not yet own can now be accepted. Missing requirements are listed in HINTS.
Completed shady jobs now shift reputation by 10 points, down from 12.
Backyard camouflage reduces reputation changes from shady work by 10–30%.
The Redline phone can now ring five times per day and request all eight shady ingredients.
Shady jobs missed while sleeping now expire, with a summary shown when you wake up.
Hitting a police officer lowers shady reputation and causes the officer to pursue and arrest you.
Economy
Reduced prices of equipments for more balanced pizza store production line.
Special visitors now increased.
Shady job rewards are now determined by job type.
Open-world job rewards now scale with the job’s own level.
Dark web delivery pricing now uses a fixed price difference.
Bitcoin miner slots are now purchased individually.
Tip jar capacity now increases with shop level, reaching $1,495 at level 18.
UI & UX
Added the HINTS panel, covering missing upgrades, rat infestations, cleaning jobs, debt outcomes, and other useful guidance.
Added floating 3D “!” markers above quest givers.
Dialogue now highlights legal jobs in green and illegal jobs in red.
Added a Leave option to dialogues.
XP gains now appear as “+N XP” notifications. Cash and crypto rewards now easier to read.
Reorganized upgrade trees into eight tabs, with visible level requirements and layouts that fit the screen.
Upgrade cards for vending machines now display their income after upgrading.
Added mission-area markers and distinct shop pin colors to the map, and refreshed the map image.
Order cards now keep a consistent position on the order screen.
Dark web search now includes locked products and displays their required tier.
Added individually written descriptions for all 92 shady window jobs.
Redesigned the main menu as a television screen with CRT effects.

Added optional autosaving at intervals of 5–60 minutes. Autosave is disabled by default.
Saves, Co-op & Steam
Added campaign-based save organization and save slots with screenshots.
Older saves are labeled “OLD VERSION” and display a warning when loaded.
Added player nameplates and microphone indicators in co-op.
Solo play now works fully offline, including when Steam is closed.
Added clearer explanations for Steam connection errors.
Invitations accepted during startup are now preserved.
World, Visuals & Audio
Added volumetric clouds with shadows cast onto the world.

Performance
Nearly halved rendering workload. On the benchmark route, performance improved %15-20 on different scenarios.
Improved performance in forests and crowded scenes through character rendering, LOD, and occlusion optimizations.
Reduced texture data and targeting a better experience on graphics cards with 4 GB of VRAM.
Reduced audio memory usage.
Removed stutters caused by sounds playing for the first time.

Fixed clients seeing jobs from a previous session after the host started a new game.
Fixed items being left behind as ghost objects, disappearing, or duplicating when players left or disconnected.
Fixed clients seeing job descriptions in the host’s language.
Fixed client-cooked pizza quality failing to sync with the host, which could allow burnt pizzas to be sold.
Fixed voting popups becoming stuck when a player left after voting.
Fixed late-joining players being unable to talk to Case.
Fixed washed items still appearing bloody to other players.

Fixed beer pouring with a cola-like color, pink cannabis, and a stolen painting appearing entirely white.
Fixed audible looping issues in engine and ambient sounds.
Fixed the intro video ignoring volume settings.
Fixed players being able to walk through the bar’s restroom doors.
Fixed untranslated content in CaseOh and Redline interactions, the Staff tab, quest labels, the upgrade panel, and the map.
Removed Content & Save Compatibility
Removed bribery and its four discount upgrades.
Payments are now handled through the Friendly Loans TV instead of Dark Web tab.
Older saves are not migrated to the new progression system. Changes to XP curves may cause an existing save to load a few levels lower than before.
We’ve brought together new and reworked mechanics to make the game feel busier, more engaging, and more satisfying to play, alongside loads of new content, voice acting, and music. There are still a few surprises cooking for future updates, and with your support, we want to keep filling this world with fun memories.
