Our next major update is now available to test on the Beta Branch, and this is a big one.
A lot of what’s in this update comes directly from things you’ve been asking us for, so we’re really excited to finally put it in your hands.
The Beta Branch is where we test and polish new updates before they become available to everyone.
Please note: This is a test build, so you may encounter bugs, balance issues, or things that still need a little more work. If you’d rather wait for a more polished experience, please stick to the public version for now.

Take a look at what you can jump into right now:
🐄 Meet the Rancher

Running a restaurant is already a lot. You’re cooking, farming, building, managing staff, serving customers… and somehow you’re also supposed to remember that the animals are hungry.
Well, not anymore.
Your new Rancher is here to take some of that chaos off your hands. They’ll feed your animals, collect what they produce, and keep the barnyard running while you focus on everything else happening around the restaurant.
So the next time the dining room is full, the kitchen is on fire, and your crops need attention, at least you won’t also have to sprint across the farm because you forgot to feed the chickens. 🐔
🌱 A Lot More Room to Grow
If your restaurant and farm have started feeling a little cramped, you’re going to like this one.
There’s now much more land available to expand into, giving you a lot more freedom to spread things out, build bigger farms, create larger restaurants, reorganize your production areas, or finally start that unnecessarily huge business you’ve been planning. 👀
🎮 Full Controller Support
This was one of the biggest requests, and we didn’t want to stop at simply letting you walk around with a controller.
You can now play through menus, the tablet, building, painting, management, and the rest of the game using Xbox and DualSense controllers.
🕹️ A Much Better Steam Deck Experience

Farm to Table should feel much more at home on Steam Deck now.
Alongside controller improvements, we’ve spent a lot of time working on performance, controls, UI navigation, and the overall handheld experience, so managing your restaurant from the couch, bed, or wherever your restaurant business happens to be running should feel a whole lot better. 💚
⚙️ Smoother Performance
We’ve done a lot of work behind the scenes to make the game run more smoothly, especially on Low & Medium settings.
Busy restaurants should now feel smoother and more responsive, especially when there’s a lot happening on screen at once.
If you’re playing on a lower-end PC or have built an absolute monster of a restaurant, we’d especially love to hear how performance feels in this build.
👕 Staff Customization & Daily Bonuses

Apparently running a successful restaurant wasn’t enough. Now we’re doing fashion too.
You can now customize your staff from head to toe, or hit Shuffle to randomize their entire look when you’re too lazy to choose or just feeling a little experimental. 👀
Keep shuffling until something clicks, then tweak it however you like.
And it’s not all fashion and looks. Daily Bonuses can also give your staff useful boosts and help them work faster throughout the day.
🏠 Building Just Got Less Annoying
Want to replace the floor underneath an already furnished room?
You can now change flooring without moving everything sitting on top of it first.
No more dismantling half your restaurant because you changed your mind about the tiles.
🌳 Yes. You Can Finally Move the Big Tree.
We know.
You asked.
A lot.
The big tree can finally be moved. 🌳👀
🪙 Waiters Can Collect Money From Tables
Your waiters can now take care of payments too.
That means fewer laps around the restaurant collecting money and more time for you to focus on... literally anything else.
📦 Bigger Storage Options
Those tiny storage shelves weren’t going to survive forever.
We’ve added two new high-capacity shelves, giving larger farms and restaurants much more room to keep ingredients, produce, and supplies organized.
📊 A Refreshed Management Screen

The Management Screen has been redesigned to give you a much clearer look at how your restaurant is actually doing.
You can now see more useful information about sales, customer happiness, your restaurant’s performance, and the things that might need your attention without having to guess what’s going on behind the scenes.
🎨 Painting Feels Much Better
Painting has received a makeover too.
New animations and visual feedback make the whole process feel much more physical instead of simply just watching its color change.
✨ Also on the Menu
It’s not just about the new features. We’ve also made plenty of improvements across the game, including quality-of-life changes, smarter staff behavior, UI improvements, balancing adjustments, and lots of bug fixes.
This is still a test build, so there may be some rough edges hiding in there. That’s exactly why we’d love your help before this update reaches everyone.
Try the new systems, expand your restaurant, put your staff to work, push things further than you normally would, and tell us what feels great, what feels weird, and what completely breaks. 👀
Thanks so much for helping us test this one. 💚
