We’re excited to announce the Crafted in Color Update 8.7.0. is now on the way, with new finishes to help make your builds feel like they are just for you! We’re also getting together on Saturday for a Fireside with Raph and the Boss Battle Buffet, with a sale on Steam starting Friday for anyone ready to join us!
Give Your Build a New Finish: Crafted in Color Update 8.7.0
The finish on a floor or the grain of a wooden beam can make a familiar space feel different. Crafted in Color will give you more control over those details, along with some useful changes for your next trip beyond the homestead.
See it before you spend it: Preview finishes directly on placed objects, then apply a look or copy it between compatible surfaces. Applying or pasting an appearance uses the required supplies.
Make more in the workshop: Carpentry will have its own XP and recipes, including decorative wood grains and joinery. Close to 100 new building pieces will give you more shapes to work with.
Choose your next step: The Mission Board will offer multi-step missions and branching choices, with chains and outcomes that may vary when you encounter them again.
Keep your party in view: A compact roster beside chat will show up to 10 members, with health and wounds visible so you can keep an eye on your crew.
Painting skills will unlock finer control over supported colors once you’ve applied a paintable finish. Paints and dyes will be available separately at the starbase Tool Shop, though you won’t be able to craft them yet. Fabrics and wallpapers will come later.
Before your next outing, check your Grav Mesh, too. A durability fix means a broken one will stop working, so repair yours soon or grab a new one, if needed!
