Balance, Fixes & Duos Improvements
Patch v0.6.4 is here!
This update includes several balance changes, some improvements to Duos networking and quality-of-life, a new Turkish translation, and a bunch of bug fixes.
Balance Changes
Buffs
🟢 Fiery War Axe
Burn: 10 → 12
Damage: 10 → 20
🟢 Paladin's Hammer
Damage: 8 → 12
🟢 Warrior Shield
Shield: 100 → 120
🟢 Bulwark
Cost: 35g → 30g
Cooldown: 3.6s → 3.5s
🟢 Brass Shield
Cooldown: 2.5s → 2.4s
🟢 Chronomancer — "Request Artifact" (d6)
Previously: Gain a Time Pendant
Now: Gain a Time Pendant with -0.2s cooldown
🟢 Midas' Regards (Perk)
Starting Gold: +5 → +8
Nerfs
🔴 Blood Pact
Cooldown: 3.6s → 3.8s
Duos
Duos received a few improvements this patch, particularly around networking and lobby functionality.
Added the ability to Add Friend from Duos lobbies.
Added an ACK connection call after Duos fights. (Networking people will understand.)
This may completely eliminate the infamous "Waiting..." bug on the Duos fight screen.
The game will also now retry the player-ready call every second instead of sending it once and simply hoping it succeeds.
I'm not a networking engineer, but we're getting there.
Removed the Shards option from the Seer.
It has been replaced with a new option that gives your teammate one of the following (depending on day):
Fury Potion
Liquid Knowledge
Starlight Potion
Added an Endless Mode ping in the lobby.
Other Improvements
I've spent some time improving my backend analysis tools, which should give me better insight into game balance going forward.
Added a Turkish translation - fan-made!
Turkish and Danish translations now display a "Fan-made" label.
Changed the sprite for the Merge perk to make it more red.
Added a 0.7 second delay before the Rare Find popup can be clicked, helping prevent accidental clicks.
Fixes
Fixed an issue where the Frozen Jaw nerf to x2.5 crit only applied to melee weapons. Ranged weapons were still using the old x3 multiplier.
Fixed a bug where Crook was always named Fluffeh's Crook.
Sorry, Fluff.
Fixed an issue where Pyramid could sometimes give more than one debuff.
Fixed several translation issues.
Fixed an issue preventing players on the Hong Kong server from properly uploading their scores to the Leaderboard.
I will now slowly shift my focus more towards the 1.0 release and all the new content coming!
