Dear City Builders, the update details for September 24th are as follows:
I. New Features:
1. Dedicated freight service
We've added an experimental "dedicated freight" feature to Gathering Buildings.
Once the dedicated freight service is enabled, collected items within this building will be transported directly to the designated warehouse via oxcart.
Other Workers will no longer perform General Hauling for Gathering Buildings with this feature enabled. Players can toggle the feature as needed.
2. Specify the source of demand (experimental)
We added an experimental Demand Source feature to the Weapon Workshop and Sawmill.
When this feature is enabled, this building will only obtain raw materials from a designated warehouse.
Workers in these buildings will no longer haul the required items from other storage locations. Players can toggle the feature as needed.
3. Building upgrade function
The first batch of buildings to support upgrades is as follows:
*Foraging Camp
*Mining Camp
*Logging Camp
*Hunting Camp
*Quarry
*Clay Camp
*Well
*Cottage
*Storehouse
*Granary
*Transport Station
*Weapon Workshop
* Sawmill
Among them, the loading speed of the dedicated freight vehicles of the gathering buildings will increase with the level, and the number of destinations that can be specified will also increase. Other buildings also have their own upgrade effects.
Added batch upgrade function: This function allows for batch upgrades of these buildings.
4. Architectural Decoration System
A new decoration system has been added, allowing you to add custom decorations to buildings.
It should be noted that decorations can currently only be attached to the 13 newly added reworked upgradeable buildings.
We will continue to release buildings that support upgrades, and all new upgradeable buildings will support the building decoration customization system.
For performance reasons, the number of decorations that can currently be placed on a single building is limited, and this limit increases with the building's level. Once later performance optimizations are stable, we will consider removing the limit entirely.
At the same time, we have reworked the building mechanics for these 13 buildings : the new buildings can remain upright even on uneven ground, and they match the decoration system better.
Brief description of the functions of the building decoration system :
Decorations can be moved and rotated freely or in fixed increments.
After the decorations are placed, they can be managed within the building panel.
Supports single or batch deletion.
5. Loot System Added
Players' armies will drop loot after defeating enemies and buildings on the map.
Loot System Function Summary :
After selecting a unit, right-click the loot to pick it up.
Select the relevant icon on the Unit Card UI to open the Pouch.
Loot is stored in the unit's Pouch, whose capacity depends on the unit's size.
Supports the discarding and destruction of loot.
Units can carry Loot back to your territory. Right-click a Storehouse, Granary, or Arsenal to return the Loot to the corresponding storage building.
6. Natural Resource Point Removal
It supports the permanent deletion of natural resource points within the map.
A new "bulldozer" icon has been added to the bottom right corner of the screen. Clicking it will take you to the mode to delete natural resource points.
7. Photo Mode
It allows users to freely choose whether to add a watermark and the watermark position when taking screenshots.
It supports freely choosing the screenshot resolution and save location when taking screenshots.
8. Battle BGM
New background music will play during battles.
二、Eastern Era Collaboration
1. New Eastern Era Collaboration Retainers
Added a new group of Eastern Era collaboration Retainers and their corresponding effects.
These collaboration Retainers will appear as renowned figures and can be recruited through the diplomacy system.
2. Eastern Era Collaboration Building Decorations
The building decoration customization system now includes a selection of model assets from Eastern Era.
III. System Optimization Related
1. New Workers now prioritize higher-level Cottages when moving in.
2. Added support for changing a Crew's current residence (available from the Cottage Residence tab and related building Work tabs).
3. You can now view or assign a Crew's residence and view or assign its workplace.
4. Since Cottages can now be upgraded, the related rebellion system has also been optimized. Rebellions now occur by Crew.
[p align="justify"]*5. Fixed a DLSS Frame Generation memory error caused by an underlying compatibility issue with AMD FSR 4.0. This fix is expected to effectively reduce crashes when players using NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 or 50 Series GPUs enable Frame Generation.IV. Interaction Improvements
1. Added the following prompts for road construction:
When the number of construction nodes reaches the limit
the road is too long
When the terrain is too steep
When buildings overlap
other …
2. A new voice prompt has been added to the broadcast system (currently only Chinese and English are supported).
3. The display in ALT mode has been optimized to be compatible with different building levels.
4. The encyclopedia entry on upgrading buildings has been updated with more information and images.
V. Numerical Changes
1. The figures for new construction and upgrade costs have been adjusted.
2. The maximum number of people simultaneously involved in the construction of new buildings has been updated.
VI. Performance Optimization Related
1. The algorithm for calculating Public Approval cycles has been optimized to reduce its performance overhead.
2. The physics calculation method for effects such as knockback has been optimized to reduce its performance overhead.
3. The algorithms for building and batch building have been optimized to reduce performance overhead.
4. The calculation method for the player item statistics function has been optimized to reduce its performance overhead.
5. Reduced memory usage when unloading audio components, improving performance.
6. The calculation methods for population and housing information statistics and laborer assignment have been optimized to reduce their performance overhead.
7. The save file loading process has been optimized, reducing the loading time for some large save files.
8. Optimized save and load processes and save-file consistency handling to improve stability in related scenarios.
VII. Bug Fixes
1. Fixed an issue with the recruitment progress UI displaying abnormally.
2. Fixed the issue of abnormal animation on the Siege Tower.
3. Fixed an issue where some range circles were displayed incorrectly.
4. Fixed an issue where the current weather effects would be incorrectly displayed when entering the minimap in some cases.

8. Fixed an issue where Stationary Trebuchets could overlap with Siege Ladders during construction.
9. Fixed an issue where the number of military personnel and related demographics in the HUD (Head-Up Display) were inaccurate.
*Because this Major update introduces building upgrades, the initial size of some buildings, including Cottages, has changed. Existing saves will not be compatible after the update.
*Special Note:
Due to the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday arrangements, we expect to be temporarily unable to provide regular updates of new content for the next two weeks.
During the holiday, the team will continue to monitor the game's operation and will address and fix issues affecting the gaming experience from time to time as needed. Thank you for your understanding and support.
We hope everyone, wherever you are, enjoys a safe and relaxing time with family and friends.
