Dear train conductors,
This update overhauls fishing with bait, tackle accessories, and a brand-new reeling mechanic. It also introduces Auto Supply Boxes, Automatic Drills, and Bamboo Saplings.
We've also continued improving multiplayer, acid rain, the Bandit Leader, animal farming, inventory management, Steam Deck support, technology blueprints, the save system, and multilingual text display.
Read on for the full update notes.
🌧️ Acid Rain and Weather Improvements
Fixed an issue where acid rain only damaged the host in multiplayer.
Now:
Both the host and players joining the session are properly affected by acid rain
Acid rain appears as green raindrops and green splashes
Players can distinguish normal rain from acid rain more quickly and find shelter in time
Rain duration changes:
Each rain cycle has been shortened from 3 minutes to 2 minutes
🐔 Animal Farming Improvements
Chickens, ducks, and geese in the coop now have more natural animations, with fewer animals performing exactly the same movement at the same time.
Sound adjustments:
Chickens, ducks, and geese call less frequently
Poultry calls have a shorter audible range
Poultry calls can no longer be heard more than 10 meters from the coop
Animals in animal pens call less frequently
Sounds from animal pens no longer travel beyond 10 meters
🥚 Box of Eggs Improvements
The item previously named "Chicken Egg Box" has been renamed "Box of Eggs".
Opening it gives you a chance to receive:
Chicken Eggs ×2
Duck Eggs ×2
Goose Eggs ×2
Bandit Shop changes:
Duck Eggs are no longer sold directly
Goose Eggs are no longer sold directly
You can sell Chicken Eggs, Duck Eggs, and Goose Eggs
Every 10 eggs can be exchanged for 1 Oxygen Coin
⚔️ Combat and Bandit Leader Improvements
Fixed an issue where only the host could see the Bandit Leader in multiplayer.
All players can now correctly see:
The Bandit Leader
The boss's animations
Its attack state
The boss's state after defeat
Also fixed:
The Bandit Leader remaining on the ground after being defeated instead of disappearing properly
The red hit marker sometimes remaining on screen after an attack connects
Arrows that hit an enemy now have a chance to immobilize it and interrupt its current action.
This effect applies to:
Regular enemies
Bosses such as the Bandit Leader
Damage over time from Poison Arrows no longer repeatedly interrupts enemy actions.
📖 Codex Information Improvements
When you select an unlocked recipe or drink in the codex, you can now see its stat changes above the item description.
Displayed stats include:
Food
Hydration level
Health points
Oxygen
Contaminated Water Sickness
The Collection Codex has also moved within the technology tree:
Previously in Tier 3
Now in Tier 2
Players can check their collection totals and discoveries earlier.
📦 New Technology: Auto Supply Box
Added a new facility: the Auto Supply Box.
When performing the following actions while standing on the train:
Construction
Crafting
Upgrading
Repairing
Materials in your inventory are used first.
If you don't have enough materials with you, the required materials are automatically taken from Auto Supply Boxes.
Multiple Auto Supply Boxes can supply materials together, reducing the need to keep moving building materials into your inventory.
🎋 New Bamboo Sapling
Added a new item: the Bamboo Sapling.
How to use it:
Plant it in a Tree Planter
Chop it down once mature to obtain bamboo
Wild bamboo also has a chance to drop Bamboo Saplings
Also fixed incorrect talent-related drops from bamboo.
When chopping bamboo on the map or on the train:
The fruit talent no longer causes bamboo to drop apples, peaches, or oranges
Bonuses to the amount of bamboo gathered still apply as normal
⛏️ New Automatic Drill
Added a new machine: the Automatic Drill.
Once wound up, the Automatic Drill automatically fires drill bits to mine nearby mineral resources.
It can mine:
Stone
Iron Ore
Copper Ore
Gold Ore
Uranium Ore
Diamond Ore
Other gatherable minerals
Features:
Mining damage per hit matches the Iron Pickaxe
Base gathering yield matches the Iron Pickaxe
After hitting a mineral deposit, the drill bit brings the resources back to the machine
Gathered resources are automatically placed in the machine's storage
Multiple drills can mine the same mineral deposit together
Storage capacity:
A 3×3 grid
9 slots in total
The Automatic Drill is available in Tier 2 technology blueprints.
Also fixed:
Automatic Drills continuing to work during the placement preview
Automatic Grappling Hooks continuing to work during the placement preview
Machines now pause while being moved and resume once placed.
🎣 Complete Fishing Overhaul
This update adds a new reeling mechanic, a bait system, and tackle accessories to fishing.
New Reeling Mechanic
When the float sinks, click promptly to lift the fishing rod and hook the fish.
After lifting the fishing rod:
Hold the action button to pull the fish to the right
Release the action button to ease line tension
Pull the fish all the way to the right end of the progress bar to catch it
If the fish retreats to the far left, it escapes
The fish also escapes if line tension gets too high and the line snaps
The question-mark fish icon remains, so the fish's species is not revealed in advance.
Rare Fish Challenge Adjustments
Fishing difficulty is no longer determined by the fish's weight.
Now:
The rarer the fish, the stronger its sustained backward pull
Rare fish struggle more noticeably
Higher-tier rods provide more stable line control
Lower-tier rods start shaking and become unstable sooner
Customize Your Tackle
Different fishing rods have different numbers of accessory slots:
Fine Fishing Rod: 2 accessory slots
Alloy Fishing Rod: 4 accessory slots
Makeshift Fishing Rod: supports bait, but not accessories
Open the fishing rod's details to:
Drag accessories into the appropriate slots
Drag bait into the bait slot
Drag accessories back to your inventory to remove them
Drag bait back to your inventory to take it out
Ten New Tackle Accessories
New accessories include:
Flashing Float: makes the float easier to spot
Large Float: improves float visibility
Quick Lure: shortens the wait for a bite
Fish King Lure: increases the chance of encountering a Fish King
Durability Guard: reduces wear on the fishing rod
Shock-Absorbing Rig: reduces the impact of sudden dashes by the fish
Endurance Rig: reduces the fish's sustained backward pull
Heavy-Duty Rig: slows the buildup of line tension
Stable Hook: extends the bite response window to 3 seconds
Select Lure: increases the proportion of rare fish other than Fish Kings
Bait System
Higher-tier bait is more likely to attract rare fish other than Fish Kings.
You can still catch rare fish without equipping bait.
With bait equipped:
You won't catch junk such as stones or wood
You still have a chance to obtain recipes
Bait tier does not affect the chance of catching a Fish King
The Select Lure does not affect the chance of catching a Fish King
Regular shops now permanently stock:
Professional Mixed Bait
Base price: 10 Oxygen Coins
A new craftable item has been added to Tier 3 technology:
Standard Mixed Bait
Accessories lose durability with use and disappear automatically when their durability runs out.
Fishing rod inventory slots now show:
The type of bait currently equipped
The amount of bait currently equipped
Players who prefer easier fishing controls can enable assisted line control in the settings.
🐟 Fishing Fixes
Fixed an issue where equipped accessories and bait could be lost when a fishing rod was stored in a chest.
Also improved the rules for returning items when there is not enough space, preventing leftover items from disappearing.
All fishing rod accessories now display the following in their item details:
A durability bar
Current durability value
Maximum durability
For example:
60/60
Fixed a "+" marker remaining in empty slots after switching chests or moving a fishing rod.
The same display issue in furnaces has also been fixed.
Display adjustments for non-fish catches:
River Shrimp
River Mussels
Starfish
Seashells
Conches
Other non-fish items
These items now correctly display their stack count instead of incorrectly showing a weight in kilograms.
This change also applies automatically to existing items.
Fish still display their weight as usual.
🎮 Steam Deck and Controller Fishing Improvements
The fishing rod accessory system now supports controllers.
You can now use a controller to:
Select accessory slots
Equip accessories
Equip bait
Remove accessories and return them to your inventory
Return bait to your inventory
Also fixed an issue where bait stacks were split into incorrect quantities when players used a controller to equip bait.
🏃 Character and Animation Improvements
Fixed an issue where transferring a full stack from a storage chest with Shift + left-click unexpectedly switched the character from running to walking.
Animations for pushing friends have also been adjusted:
When pushing with empty hands:
The unnecessary hand-retraction animation no longer plays
The character extends both hands directly to push
When holding a weapon or tool:
The current item is put away first
The push animation plays
The item is then taken out again
Improved hand animation transitions while holding items, reducing sudden jitter when:
Switching between running and walking
Inventory items refresh
Switching held items
Also fixed empty hands appearing when certain professions selected recipes, along with similar held-item display issues.
🎒 Multiplayer Inventory Dragging Improvements
Improved inventory dragging and item dropping in multiplayer.
Now:
Less repeated dragging is needed while items synchronize
A message appears when an action takes longer to complete
Canceling a drag no longer causes a previous drop action to execute later
Canceled actions no longer continue after closing the inventory
Fixed an issue where some item quantities could revert to an earlier state when moving items in multiplayer.
📦 Item Transfer Improvements
Fixed an issue where taking items from a furnace or chest with Ctrl + left-click used empty slots first.
Transfers now prioritize:
Merging with existing items of the same type
Filling partially filled stacks
Any remaining items that do not fit stay in the original container.
🧰 Equipment Dragging Fixes
Fixed an incorrect "Item has changed" message when clicking or dragging an equipped Oxygen Mask.
Also fixed dragging regular equipment being interrupted by changes caused by:
Normal wear

Fixed players potentially being pushed out of carriages when the train traveled over uneven terrain at high speed.
Also improved stability for players sitting on stools.
Fixed camera shake affecting players outside the train and those in the second carriage or farther back when the train hit an obstacle.
Collision shake now only affects:
Players inside the first carriage
The same rules apply to the host and other multiplayer participants.
⚙️ Control Console and Lighting Fixes
Fixed the control console potentially reverting from "No Speed Limit" to the fifth setting after leaving and re-entering the game.
The last selected speed limit setting is now correctly saved and restored.
Fixed manually switched-on lights unexpectedly turning off when re-entering the game or first loading a save.
Automatic lighting mode still resumes automatic control at the next day/night transition.
🔋 Electric Engine Synchronization Fixes
Fixed an issue where non-host players occasionally could not see smoke from a running Electric Engine in multiplayer.
All players can now correctly see the Electric Engine's operating state.
👥 Player Appearance Fixes When Joining
Fixed the host or other players appearing late when you first joined a session.
Also fixed player characters sometimes slowly floating down from above after joining a session.

The materials list and crafting button retain their existing functionality
The Electric Grill now displays only the upper processing progress bar; the unnecessary lower fuel bar has been removed.
Fixed the equipment bar at the bottom appearing in front of the overlay when opening the Workbench.
🌓 Translucent Background Adjustments
Most screens that previously used blurred white background panels now use translucent black panels.
This change helps:
Reduce visual discomfort from bright backgrounds
Reduce dizziness when switching screens
Improve text readability
Addressing dizziness remains a high priority, and further adjustments are planned.
