Major Update 1.24 is all about one idea: one match, many completely different ways to experience it. We’ve reorganized the entire game so that the different playable roles are easier to access and can be used throughout competitions, seasons and friendly matches. Want to play one match as a footballer, the next from the stands and another as the referee? Now that freedom is at the heart of Motion Soccer. 🔥 ONE MATCH. 7 WAYS TO LIVE IT. There are now 7 playable roles available:
Outfield Player: control any player you want and take part directly in the match.
Coach: manage your team from the touchline, control tactics and make decisions throughout the game.
Goalkeeper: stay between the posts for the entire match.
Fan: watch from the seat you want in the stadium, support your team and even play the drum.
Referee: control the match, call fouls, play advantage, show cards and make the big decisions.
Assistant Referee: patrol the touchline with your flag, judge offsides and help the main referee.
VAR Referee: experience the full match from the VAR Room and review incidents from multiple angles.
🚧 AND WE’RE NOT STOPPING THERE We’re already working on two more roles that will arrive in the future:
Commentator: take your place in the commentary booth and provide live commentary for the match.
Physio / Medical Staff: enter the pitch when a player is injured, provide treatment and decide whether they can continue.
🔄 CHOOSE YOUR ROLE FOR ANY MATCH We’ve completely reorganized the menus to make every available role much easier to access. Competitions, Season Mode and friendly matches can now be experienced from whichever available perspective you prefer. Play an entire season with your club and experience one match as a player, another as a coach, another from the stands, another as the referee and another from the VAR Room. 📺 NEW PITCH-SIDE VAR MONITOR One of the most requested improvements from the community is finally here. On-field VAR reviews no longer use a tablet. When an incident needs to be reviewed, the referee now walks over to the VAR monitor located on the touchline, just like in real football. This works both ways: when you’re the main referee reviewing an incident yourself, and when you’re playing as the VAR referee and send footage for the main referee to review. 🎬 OPTIONAL SEAMLESS MATCH FLOW You can now disable transitions to make matches feel much more continuous and natural. For example, after calling a foul there doesn’t need to be a fade to black anymore. Players can reposition themselves and prepare the restart naturally while the match continues to flow. 🔥 NEW CHAOS LAB INTENSITY SETTING You can now decide just how complicated you want a match to become. Increasing the chaos level raises the probability of hard tackles, offsides, controversial celebrations, injuries, unusual incidents and other situations that can turn refereeing into a serious challenge: Normal, Lively, Hot and Hell.
🟥 PLAYERS CAN NOW SNATCH THE CARD FROM YOU Some players can lose their temper and actually grab the card out of your hand while you’re showing it. Needless to say, that deserves a straight red. And yes, when playing as an outfield player you can also try to snatch the referee’s card yourself... although that’s probably one of the quickest ways to leave your team one player down. 🧤 IMPROVED GOALKEEPER CONTROLS We’ve improved goalkeeper controls, especially on mobile. Now that you can spend an entire match between the posts, controlling the goalkeeper feels much more comfortable and precise. 📊 BETTER STATISTICS IN VR Half-time and full-time statistics are now displayed directly on the tablet when playing in VR, making them much easier to read. 📢 BETTER VAR DECISION EXPLANATIONS When playing as the main referee, you can now publicly explain a changed decision after any VAR intervention, whether or not you personally performed an on-field review. 📱 NEW HYBRID CONTROL MODE ON MOBILE A new mobile control option lets you move your character with the joystick while freely rotating the camera by dragging your finger directly across the screen. 🌍 EASIER LANGUAGE RECOVERY The “Language” field in the options menu is no longer translated. If you accidentally change the game language, you’ll always be able to find the option and switch back without having to guess what it says. 🥅 MORE REALISTIC GOALKEEPERS ON PENALTIES Goalkeepers can now attempt to move off their line early during penalties in a more natural way. If you’re refereeing and spot the infringement, you’ll need to order a retake when required. 🚩 MORE OFFSIDES We’ve adjusted attacking behavior so players are caught offside slightly more often. Referees, assistant referees and VAR referees will need to keep their eyes open. 💇 NEW HAIRSTYLES We’ve added more hairstyles to the character editor, giving you even more options to customize your players. 🛠️ IMPROVEMENTS & BUG FIXES
Fixed several issues involving consecutive card situations.
Completely reworked chained VAR reviews so decisions remain coherent even in unusual situations, such as one red-card review uncovering a completely different red-card offence.
