Hello, Shopkeepers!
First, we want to start this update with a sincere apology. We hear you loud and clear: for many of you, the recent Dungeon Update made the game simply too difficult.
While a portion of our community absolutely loved the brutal, unforgiving new challenge, we know that many of you missed the more balanced blend of relaxed shopkeeping and manageable dungeon crawling. We are sorry for the frustration this sudden difficulty spike caused! We love all of our player groups equally (<3), and we want Fell & Sell to be a game everyone can enjoy at their own pace.
To bridge both worlds, we are introducing Selectable Difficulty Levels today, including a highly requested feature for players who want a less punishing experience!
Here is how the new difficulty system works:
You must return to the Village for the difficulty settings to update
🐑 EASY – For players seeking a relaxed journey. Highly requested: You DO NOT lose your equipped items upon death! (You will still lose your inventory loot, but your weapons and armor are safe).
Slightly slower enemy movement speed.
Slightly slower enemy attacks.
Enemies cannot perform lunge attacks.
Enemies cannot perform attack combos.
100% Furniture combat bonuses.
💀 MEDIUM – The intended experience. A balanced challenge between survival, trading, and dungeon crawling. This is the state of the game before the 1.5.0 update, but keeping the new enemy animations, improved AI, and room placements.
100% Furniture combat bonuses.
Standard item loss upon death.
Standard enemy speed & behavior.
Enemies perform lunges and combos.
☠️ HARD – For seasoned adventurers. Seeking unforgiving combat and formidable foes? This is the brutal state of the game after the 1.5.0 update, but with even bigger magic AOE for your staves to help you survive.
50% Furniture combat bonuses.
Standard item loss upon death.
Standard enemy speed & behavior.
Enemies perform lunges and combos.
Additional Tweaks & Bug Fixes in this Update:
Magic AOE: Increased the Area of Effect for magic, giving you a bit more crowd control.
Regenerating Elites: Nerfed the health regeneration on Elite enemies from 10% down to 5% per second.
Loot Drops: Slightly increased the drop chance for common materials and items.
Price Setting UI: Restored the UI for using the Right Mouse Button (RMB) to quickly change prices when placing goods on your counters.
Stat Clarity: Renamed the "Armor" stat to "Damage Reduction" to make it much clearer how it affects your character.
Teleporting Enemies: Fixed an issue where teleporting enemies could glitch and teleport completely outside of dungeon rooms.
Goblin Pathfinding: Goblins should no longer get stuck on geometry so often in the second dungeon biome.
Out of Bounds Furniture: You can no longer place furniture outside of the scene boundaries.
Darkmoon Fair: Fixed bugs related to the Darkmoon Fair doors.
Consumables Exploit: Fixed the infinite consumables glitch.
Localization: Added missing translations for the Demonic Tabernacle.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to share your honest feedback with us. We hope this update satisfies both the hardcore crawlers and the cozy shopkeepers!
Happy selling, and see you in the dungeons!
