Our first major patch since the Early Access launch is almost ready!
This afternoon, we’re making Early Access Patch 1 available on a Public Beta branch before moving it to the main branch after successful testing.
The patch focuses on some of the most important issues reported since launch:
🛠️ Improvements for rare crashes
🗺️ Fix for nautical charts not loading with special characters in Windows user paths
🛟 Rescue Cruiser daughter boat launch fix
📡 AIS display and navigation improvements
🚢 New RoPax Arrival at Dover scenario
🧑✈️ Career and tutorial improvements
🌍 Various world, UI and gameplay fixes
We’re also investigating cases where Ship Handling tutorials can stop progressing. If you encounter this or another Career/tutorial issue, please send us a bug report with Ctrl + Tab immediately after it happens. Reports now include additional mission and Career Training data that helps us track down the cause.
If you’d like to help us verify the patch before its full release, you can switch to the Public Beta branch on Steam later today.

🔑 How to access the Beta Branch:
Open your Steam Library
Right-click on Professional Ship Simulator → Properties
Go to the Betas tab
Select Open - Beta from the dropdown menu
Close the window – Steam will now automatically download the Beta version
