Welcome to another Build Example! This time we will take a look at a combination of the Warfare and Spirit masteries, which form the Revenant.
Build Concept
Stack up passive and conditional boosts, as well as active blessings to get as powerful of a Deathward Beam as possible. Watch your enemies melt away.
We put together a quick video to demonstrate:
We will be opting into Energy Siphon and Soulburn with Deathward Beam - this will make it significantly more powerful at the cost of consuming our Shades and costing much more energy. We will need all of our Shades for this, and so won’t be opting into any summons with this build.
The Death’s Door passive will allow us to deal much more damage, but we will need to reserve our health in order to benefit from this. In order to not die, we will be using Layered Veil with heavy investment into our Barrier to replace the health we no longer have.
When engaging in combat, we place our War Banner to buff ourselves and debuff enemies. Once you can get a good number of them bunched up, hit enemies with Soul Vortex and Doom Horn for further debuffs.
Soul Vortex will also be giving us an additional shade, which will make our Deathward Beam last longer.
Activate your Valor blessing and fire your Deathward Beam until out of energy. That’s a good time to chug an energy potion and to start again - but make sure to pause, because the initial damage boost from Soulburn only lasts 3 seconds.
Once you’re out of Shades, you can replenish them a bit faster by spamming Doom Horn.
If you’re in danger, pop your barrier for additional survivability (it’s super strong).

Where to take it
In our example, we built towards a Might-focused, heavy armor character, as this allows for significant defences thanks to the glancing implicits. Farming for items with spell damage or vitality damage affixes will help you push your damage output much further.
One of the highly beneficial relics to try and complete would be Selene’s Moonlight, as you will have hugely increased spell damage, and rapid energy regeneration after kills. As for charms, Hollow Fang can greatly benefit your Vitality damage.
In order to stay safe during extended fights as we wait for energy or Shades, we can hugely benefit from high movement speeds. Farming for greaves with a high movement speed affix, and enhancing with Centaur Hoofs, while wielding Moon Disc can give us significant movement speed - particularly while Valor is active. Plus, with Moon Disc, we get some extra capacity for our spells.
That’s the gist of it - once you’re able to stack up all passives and blessings while pacing your skill usage well, you will be able to annihilate even high health enemies, while being relatively safe thanks to your barrier. Perhaps even more importantly, with the right gear, you will be essentially sprinting across the map. The build is in the end relatively simple, and can do it all. The main weakness is that you’ll need to take a breather every now and then to recharge your energy and Shades.
