Hello everyone,
Earlier today, we released an update involving the save system and quest system. Unfortunately, an issue introduced by this update caused some players to become stuck on the loading screen and unable to enter the game normally.
After discovering the issue this afternoon and receiving reports from players, we immediately began investigating the cause and worked on an emergency fix.
The issue has now been fixed.
If you were previously unable to enter the game, please:
Completely exit Steam and restart the Steam client. The game should then update to the latest version automatically. Once the update is complete, you should be able to enter the game normally.
If Steam does not begin updating immediately, please wait a moment and try restarting Steam again.
This issue was caused by today's update, and we sincerely apologize for disrupting your gameplay.
We are especially sorry to those of you who repeatedly tried to launch the game, verified game files, or even reinstalled the game because of this issue. Every update should go through more thorough testing, and players should not have to spend their own time dealing with problems caused by our updates.
Thank you very much to everyone who reported the issue so quickly, and thank you for your patience and understanding.
We will strengthen our testing and verification process before future updates to reduce the chance of similar issues happening again.
If you are still unable to enter the game after updating to the latest version, please let us know through the Steam Community so we can continue investigating.
